Placed on the demarcated region of Douro, in one of its hillsides, surrounded the little vineyards, this house (Casa dAlm) was once main house of an winegrowing estate of the very special Port Wine. Dating from the twenties, it was given special care inside (paintings and furnitures) and outside (mainly the gardens) by the former owner (grandfather of the present ones). Now fully adapted, besides the modern comfort you can also appreciate the marvellous landscape and enjoy wonderful walks along one of the most beautiful Portuguese regions. To get from OPorto city to Casa dAlm you should take A4 (Highway 4 - direction VILA REAL). At the end of A4 starts IP4 that you should follow in a few kilometers and go out on first exit (indication RGUA / MESO FRIO). You are at road EN15. Go along for 3 km and in the next cross you must go right (indication RGUA). Enjoy the road for a while: go up the mountain (a small one) and go down to Meso Frio. After Meso Frio you get into EN108, the road besides the Douro river. You are near now... About 8 km after Meso Frio you are in GRANJO and have just crossed the railway lines. After 1km you will pass under the railway bridge, and so you will turn the next on the left. There are indications to OLIVEIRA, Turismo Rural. Its 3 km going up, and on the last cross take the left (OLIVEIRA). You are already in our village. Insides the village there is a single bifurcation and it is signed up (on the right) CASA DALM. Its 500 meters and you will find our house. On the top of the front door it is written CASA DALM. If you want follow on the left of the house and youll find a park area on left. Coming out from the park, on the left there is a entrance gate towards Casa dAlm. Its open waiting for you and you may sign your arrival at the door bell. From Viseu you must follow direction RGUA, in road IP3 that is not completely built. After traversing the Douro river, in a high bridge, its next way out (RGUA). Already in this city you must follow the river side and the direction CALDAS DE MOLEDO or PORTO. After 4km in EN 108 you will pass under the railway bridge, and so you will turn the next on the right. There are indications to OLIVEIRA, Turismo Rural. From Miranda do Douro you must follow direction VILA REAL, in road IP4. Just passing Vila Real follow direction A24 and you out in PESO DA RGUA.
