Howard House Lodge built by our family, opened in 1978 as one of the first BB's in the region. We are conveniently located in Boothbay Harbor on 20 peaceful wooded acres, away from the busy downtown. Each of our rooms has a ceiling fan, private bath, and patio door leading to an individual deck. Rooms and decks are completely non-smoking to ensure the comfort of our guests. Our grounds are beautifully landscaped. Sorry, we are not able to accept pets. Complimentary high-speed wireless access is available for your computer. Wake up to a wholesome, homemade breakfast freshly prepared for you each morning, including juices, selection of cereals, fresh fruit salad, yogurt, homemade breads, scones, muffins or blueberry cake, hot egg dish, and hot beverages. FROM THE SOUTH Take Route 95 North to Portland, watching for signs to the Boothbay Harbor Region Coastal Route via Exit 52 (formerly Exit 9) Take Exit 52 to Route 295 North toward Freeport Yarmouth. Take either Exit 28 (formerly Exit 22) and travel North through Brunswick to Route 1, or Exit 31 and travel North through Topsham - following signs to the Route 1 connector. Follow Route 1 North through Bath (over the Kennebec River bridge), and into the town of Wiscasset. After the Sheepscot River bridge, you will see signs for the Boothbay Harbor Region. Take a right turn onto Route 27 South, and follow about 10 miles toward Boothbay Harbor. We are on the left side of the road, just after the blue and gold/leaf, Welcome to Boothbay Harbor sign. FROM DOWNEAST AND ACADIA Option 1: Take Route 1 South and follow through Camden, Thomaston, Damariscotta and Newcastle. In Newcastle, you will see a sign for Boothbay Region via River Road. Take this left and travel about 8 miles to where it ends at Route 27 South. Take a left, and travel three miles to Boothbay Harbor. We are on the left side of the road, just after the blue and gold/leaf, Welcome to Boothbay Harbor sign. Option 2: After Newcastle, you will see signs for the Boothbay Harbor Region and Route 27 South. Turn left onto Route 27 South and follow about 10 miles toward Boothbay Harbor. FROM THE NORTH Take Route 27 South from Augusta. In Wiscasset, you will come to the end of the first part of Route 27 South. Take a left onto Route 1 North, into the village of Wiscasset. After the Sheepscot River bridge, you will see signs for the Boothbay Harbor Region. Take a right turn onto Route 27 South, and follow about 10 miles toward Boothbay Harbor.
