Scarborough Guest House. Virtually in the shadow of one of Yorkshire's most famous and enduring landmarks - Scarborough Castle (circa: 1140) - and enjoying glorious sea views across the sweeping curve of North Bay, you find the welcoming Derwent House Guest House. Open all year, every modern day convience is here and supplied by the friendly proprietors, Carol and Keith, whose sole priority is that your stay, (whether it is holiday, a short break or business), should be both successful and hugely enjoyable. Fully licensed Derwent House Guest House. The majority of guest rooms are toilet and shower en-suite and all include central heating (which is throughout the establishment), colour television, beverage making facilities and wireless internet access. A choice of breakfast is served in the pleasant dining room and there is an equally welcoming guests lounge in which to relax. What better way to unwind, after a hectic day enjoying all that Scarborough has to offer, than to enjoy a nightcap in the Derwent House bar and in the company of fellow guests. The views from Derwent House are spectacular and, during the warmer months, can be enjoyed from the enclosed seating area to the front of the building. We accept cash and all major credit cards with no additional surcharges. Shops, amusements and entertainment abound in Scarborough, 'Queen of the Yorkshire Coast', which has retained and invested in the architectural splendour of venues such as the Spa whilst continuously adapting to meet the requirements of today's visitor. Away from the resort's unsurpassed beaches and it's perennial list of attractions, Scarborough is surrounded by the most glorious, heart beat missing, scenery imaginable - captured on television as locations for a number of drama series - and the neighbouring resorts of Filey, Bridlington and Whitby (home of Bram Stoker's 'Dracula') should be on your 'must do' list of places to visit. With enjoyment already assured in Scarborough, it is confirmed and completed as the result of your stay at Derwent House Guest House. **NB: JULY AND AUGUST WEEKENDS: MINIMUM BOOKING PERIOD 2 NIGHTS!**.
