We have the pleasure of offering a range of services for companies, private groups and associations wishing to organise quality conferences or meetings with access to a spacious conference room fitted to cater for 60 people. Recreational activities such as canoeing, cycling, penthatlon, wood-fired sauna etc are available. Meals (Breakfast, lunch dinner) are either prepared through self-service or by our kitchen staff. The entire hostel is also available for rent to cope with larger group meetings.

To Asa Youth Hostel. In Asa with surroundings, the wood, water and air is in focus. Here you can find unlimited enjoyment of the peace and quiet in free surroundings. Old, beautiful forests mixed with open fields, perfect waters for fishing and canoeing. Many hiking- and bikingtracks through the roads of Smaland, cross here in Asa. The youth hostel, which is situated 15 kilometres from Lammhult, offers a child-friendly environment and is only 200 metres from the nearest lake, Asasjon. Here you can stay in a pleasant and homely environment in an old renovated school, which offers rooms with 1 to 12 beds. Normally we offer private accommodation with wc and shover right outside. There are in total 50 beds, generous kitchen facilities and a living room with TV.

The Natural camping site is available for guests who wish to sleep in their own tent or caravan. Or why not sleep under the stars in a windbreak? You have access to a fireplace and dry toilets. Hot showers are available in the hostel.

WITHIN WALKING DISTANCE: Asa Folk museum - Asa Church - Asa Mill - Asa Mansion (lunch restaurant) - Asa Forestry research station and Experiment park - Forest Temple (Skogstempel) - Ancient monument - Steamer Thor. WITHIN A 25 KM RADIUS

WALKS In Asa, you can choose from walking trials of various distances, with a number running close to resting points offering windbreaks for those who which to spend the night outdoors. There is a large, roofed barbecue for our hungry guests who wish to socialise at the waterfront. HIKES Asa is situated on a number of excellent hiking trails. The Sigfrid Trail leads from Vaxjo in the south while hikers from the north arrive along the Hogland Trail. Both trails take you just past the youth hostel.

Asa Youth Hostel is open all the year round. The reception is staffed daily during the high season, while prebooking is required in low season. CANOES Paddle around Lake Asasjon, or why not take the opportunity to enjoy a longer trip along the Asa-Hisso canoeing trail. Resting points Natural camping sites are available along the trail. We can organise to have you picked up, if you only wish to paddle one way.
