Situed between Tours and Saumur, only 10 minutes away from the A85 motorway and from exit 24 of the A10, at 3 hours from Paris. At Talleyrands death, in 1838, the Duchesse de Dino, as she promised herself, transformed his bedroom at Rochecotte into a chapel; an alter with a mounted replica of the Saint-Sixte Madonna is in place of the bed in the alcove. This oratory was blessed by Abbey Dupenloup on November 18, 1840. In the same empire style, the stables of the Chateau de Rochecotte dating back to the XVIIIth Century were listed a historic monument in 1948. The original stalls of that era can be seen today.
