Welcome to the Hawthorne House. Hawthorne House is a small family run guesthouse to be found in the picturesque former Royal Burgh of South Queensferry on West Terrace, which is situated, in our cobbled High Street in the heart of the conservation area. Built pre 1850 the traditional exterior compliments the bright, clean modern interior. Relax and enjoy a meal /drink by the River Forth taking in the spectacular views of the Forth Rail Road Bridges with. An excellent choice of restaurants and bars all within 5 /10 minutes walk from Hawthorne House you will soon forget the city centre which is only 20 minutes away. Has many breathtaking views including the two famous bridges. The Rail bridge known as the 'Brig' to locals was considered to be a masterpiece of engineering in that period. The road bridge a newer companion for the rail bridge was built in 1964 and was the first suspension bridge to be built in Scotland on that scale. Join us for New Year in Queensferry. Our single bedroom is small cosy has a wash hand basin in the room and has its own private bathroom with a bath power shower. The Family bedroom has 1 double 1 single and a small sofa bed, which adequately hold an adult. Our Superior Bedroom has a King Size sleigh bed and a 2-seater sofa bed. All of our rooms have. Dalmeny House, family home of the Earls of Rosebery, is set in parkland overlooking the Firth of Forth, just west of Edinburgh.
