Hotel Centric; The oldest hotel in Norrkoping. Hotel Centric is situated in a building built 1932, and is now into itīs 8th decade. The construction was started in 1929 and the property was built under instruction of. Anna Ostergren, Frida and Otto Moberg. Since the hotel opened up in 1932, the Hotel has have five different landlords. The first owner of Hotel Centric was a former House Matron, Miss Karlsson, who ran the Hotel, which had that time 36 rooms for some 30 years. The Hotel is the oldest hotel of accommodation in Norrkoping, but has had an extensive renovation recently. Someone who remebers how the property was built, some 45 years ago, is Hugo Andersson, 93 years of age and a jack-of-all-trades. There were a lot of discussions and arguments in the Local Housing Committee, says. Hugo Andersson, mainly because of the style which the Commissioner of the building project, Otto Moberg chose. The American style meant that the walls were not able to bear the load. The guest of the hotel were picked up at the train station by horse and wagon.
