Welcome to RosenA¶n! Here you will find some interesting and important information about RosenA¶n. And of course, you are welcome to contact us if there is anything more you would like to know. HISTORY RosenA¶n also goes by the name of Krogarholmen, Taverners island, which ties in the old clandestine drinking-den on the shore, replete with the secrets of bygone times. Incidentually, the bridge to the island spans MandrA¥parsundet. The Man-killer Sound? The name RosenA¶n came into use in the 1930s, when the bookseller Gunnar SA¶derberg had a summer house (the manor-house part of the main building) built which he gave to his young wife as a morning gift. She had a large number of roses planted and the island got the more romantic name RosenA¶n (The island of roses). In 1958 LKAB bought the island and built up a large part of the structure. Since 1979 the complex is owned by the TenantA´s union. RosenA¶n is constantly changing and the history of tomorrow is being created today. CONFERENCE ROOMS RosenA¶n has 10 conference rooms of varying size. In the largest of them, Arken, there is room for 130 people seated in auditorium rows and for 80 people seated as tables. Adjacent to the conference rooms are 16 rooms for groupwork. TECHNICAL EQUIPMENT The conference rooms have modern conference equipment. Apart from the basic items, overhead projectors, TV, video, etc. It includes large-size video, video cameras, digital-projector and guest computer. Here you can enjoy a beer while listening to music from our jukebox. MEALS The light and spacious dining-room can be seat up to 140 guests. This is the venue for breakfast, lunch and dinner. WeA´re willing to serve special menues or non-allergic diets if agreed in advance. We have long experience of creating exclusive lunches, dinners, suppers and gatherings with a difference. PARTIES AND SPECIAL ARRANGEMENTS Many of our theme-parties are taken out of, and attached to the islandA´s environment and history. We are very careful of professionally making the arrangements and we go in for expounding both old and new concepts. Bring your conference to the hidden tavern and a piratical evening, or make your own dinner together with one of our skilled chefs. Maybe an autumn-night in the fishing-house with the fisherman himself meeting you with newsmoked fish. The alternatives are many. For details contact our booking section.
