Inspirational Conferences. Grythyttan and its inn are ideal for conferences both for smaller groups and for groups of up to 100 people. We offer a different and quite inspirational meeting environment, combined with fantastic culinary experiences. Additionally, it is quite price worthy to hold a conference with us. As you know, a good meeting is central to good business, and the better the environment, the better the meeting. Crossing the threshold into the Grythyttan Inn is a small step, a step that has seen guests come and go for centuries. But for your purposes, that step is an enormous one. The beautiful 17th century building, with a splendor that only a historically and culturally rich environment can give, surrounds you in a harmonic atmosphere. Muffled murmurs come from the dining room, where tantalizing scents whet your appetite. The beds in our rooms are inviting and relaxing, and the floors of many of our bathrooms caress your feet with Grythyttan black slate. When its time for the conference to begin, a table of opportunities awaits. Our meeting room can accommodate up to 100 people. The kitchen offers up gourmet food of internationally high repute... classic food preparation with local ingredients and southern European influences. We even have the best wine cellar in Sweden, along with a very extensive avec / liqueur assortment.
Once youve visited Grythyttan and have enjoyed the beautiful surroundings, the inspirational environment and all that the Grythyttan Inn has to offer, its hard to not long for a return visit. Whether you visit to celebrate a special occasion, work with your colleagues, have a relaxing weekend, eat lunch or simply enjoy a cup of coffee in one of our salons, we extend a heartfelt welcome to you. The kitchen at the Grythyttan Inn has been well respected for many years. We are also extremely proud of our distinguished wine cellar, which boasts over 7,000 bottles from all over the world. The inn is comprised of 22 buildings, all built between 1640 and 1960. We have a unique collection of furniture, art, textiles and such, all of which has been preserved with great care. The inn has several salons and dining rooms, a wonderful garden and an old stable that has been converted into a comfortable meeting place with a bar and a large hall. We have nine different conference rooms to suit the needs of both large and small groups, and 60 beautiful, uniquely decorated guest rooms. Our own treatment services are highly appreciated, as are our other, often food- and drink-related activities.

Meals have been provided in our historical setting for hundreds of years. In the beginning, three different dining rooms were used, each one for a different class of customer. Obviously, the food differed in all three dining rooms. The most tasteful and nourishing dishes were served to the royalty and nobility, while less exquisite morsels were sent downstairs to the prisoner holding cell. During Queen Kristinas rule, Grythyttan, with its inn at the center, was a bubbling meeting place for travelers. When the train and railway came to the village at the end of the 1800s, the activities at the inn slowly died out. The buildings continued to decay, and slowly the glory of yesteryear was but a thing of the past. In the end of the 1960s, however, the inn miraculously avoided demolition and was saved. After very extensive renovation, the Grythyttan Inn re-opened in 1973 and has gone on to offer many satisfied guests wonderful culinary experiences. Welcome to the table!
