The 18 rooms are individual and decorated in it's own charming style. They are all equally equipped with comfortable beds, TV and a washbasin. Showers and restrooms are located in the hallway. For our guests disposal we have a fridge, microwave oven, teakettle, coffee tea, magazines, books and toys. We have double and single rooms and one family room with four beds of which two is a bunk bed. Pets are welcome upon agreement.. (Click here for Pictures). Single Room - shared shower/wc. Jarnvagshotellet is Gavles most charming low priced hotel with 18 individual and characteristically decorated rooms. Here you are close to centrum, restaurants, bar's,museum and shops. During the end of 1900-century Jarnvagshotellet was situated in a neighborly building. This building together with the hotel was condemned and replaced by the new block Armfelt in 1985. In the 1920's the hotel moved to its present building. The name of the hotel at that time was New Hotel. By the end of that decade the name had changed to Regina Hotel Railroad-restaurant. It continued to serve as a hotel until the mid 60's. During 1995 our hotel and activity started once again with focus on moderate and reasonable pricing. This time the name was Nya Jarnvagshotellet or translated, it means New Railroad hotel. Nowadays we solely say Jarnvagshotellet. The hotel is managed by the Lund family since march 2005.
