We have cleared and beautifully landscaped one third of an acre directly on the ocean. This area is an ideal location for a large seated wedding reception or dinner party. It accommodates up to 175 people and can be custom designed to suit the needs of any wedding. We can assemble a large tent, dance floor, bar, or bandstand. Other parts of the Club may also be available including the ocean beach, gazebo, or the oceanfront dining patio. The island itself furnishes many services and facilities that will make a wedding perfect. It offers several denominations of churches for services. In the historic Harbour Island tradition, a horse drawn carriage can take the couple, followed by the North Eleuthra Marching Band - with guests in tow - through Dunmore town, along the water, and to the Beach Club for the reception. Originally created to cater to the Duke and Duchess of Windsor and their friends, Dunmore still has a private club atmosphere. The Dunmore Beach club accommmodates up to thirty-two guests in our sixteen ultra-private cottage accommodations. All our rooms are comfortably appointed with air-conditioning, overhead fans, monogrammed lounging robes, fresh floral arrangements, and ocean view patios nestled in an 8-acre garden. Ten newly restyled and enlarged guest lodgings feature: fresh fabrics, six-foot jacuzzi tubs, oversize shower stalls, lighted make-up tables, twin sinks, a built-in refrigerator and full wet bar.

Harbour Island (or, Briland, as it is known to residents) is situated just off the northeast coast of Eleuthera. Only three miles long and a half mile wide, it is well protected from the rough weather by the treacherous reefs surrounding this island. Daily flights are available from Nassau, Ft. Lauderdale and Miami to North Eleuthra Airport, our local airport (ELH) and port of entry for private flights (4,500-foot runway; no gas). Taxis meet all flights. From the airport, getting to the Dunmore Beach Club takes approximately 20 minutes a quick taxi ride to the dock and short water taxi ride to Harbour Island (15 minutes), and one final taxi ride (5 minutes). All meals are included during your stay at the Dunmore Beach Club. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are served on the romantic ocean-front outdoor terrace or presented in our formal dining room by our friendly, attentive, and experienced staff. From our famous homemade Bahamian bread in the morning to our world-renowned four course gourmet dinners in the evening, we offer a superior dining experience. A nightly cocktail hour in the clubhouse provides a special opportunity to mingle with other Dunmore guests and to meet new and interesting friends. Dress is casual, except a jacket is suggested for gentlemen at dinner during winter season. A tie is optional but a collared shirt is required.
