The Long Bay House, offers pleasant, quality accomodations in an exotic seaside setting within earshot of the Atlantic surf. Handsome Abaco Pine living areas, a cathedral ceiling, library and magnificant views grace the house. Outside, enjoy the 20'x40' swimming pool or have a barbecue.The Atlantic Ocean is visible to the north and Black Sound is visible to the south. Walk along the two miles of private white sand beach complete with two ocean side decks. Lay out on one of the two sun decks or view the island from the observation tower, then ride one of the two bikes on a tour of the Island. We are approximately 1/4 of a mile from town. About a ten to fifteen minute slow walk or 3-5 minutes via Bike or golf cart. We have 6-8 small local restaurants, 3 larger restaurants, three well stocked grocery stores, two hardware stores a half dozen gift shops, a Museum, post office and Government building. You can rent boats up to 28 ft long, bikes, motor bikes, golf carts, and scuba Gear. Thank you for your interest in the Long Bay House. We have four bedrooms, a master bedroom with a King Size bed and a large bath. On the other side of the house is another large bedroom with king bed, traversing this room are two other smaller bedrooms one with two singles,the other has a trundal bed, all three bedrooms in this wing share the same bath. The House has a dining room that seats eight, a full modern kitchen with full size refridgerator, oven, microwave, and complete set of cooking utensils, including coffee maker, toaster, etc. We provide all towels, linens, toiletries, soaps, coffee filters, etc. (Maid service is available at an extra cost, and arrangements must be made in advance) The Long Bay House has a 20x40 ft swimming pool with three sundecks, an observation tower with a wonderful 360 degree view of the Island, Black Sound and the Atlantic Ocean. The Long Bay House is located up on the Atlantic Ocean on a 2 mile long white sandy beach, there is a covered gazebo off the house. There is a BBQ grill and an outside shower. We Have hammocks and picnic tables for your outdoor enjoyment and a screened porch overlooking the Ocean that also seats eight and is a wonderful place to enjoy your meals, play cards or read. My wife Linda and I are the owners and live on the property and have been here for over 10 years full time. Your group will be met at the town dock where the Water Taxi drop you, then taken up to the House and settle in. We have fishing guides to take you deep sea, Bonefishing, or reef fishing. There are people who will take you on picnics or snorkeling. We have lots of small Uninhabited islands around us that are wonderful for Sunbathing, exploring, and picnics. We have two dive shops that offer diving and snorkeling trips and equipment Rentals. This is a private home and only one set of guests are on the property at any given time. So your group has the full private use of Our Island Home. We can also arrange for you to hire a guide that will take you out diving, fishing or a secluded picnic on an uninhabited island, to make your stay a memorable and enjoyable one. There are several choice for dining out, from local cuisine, to more elegant gourmet dining (island style). All welcome casual attire. Make sure you try the homemade bread and pies (baked by local women), none are better, and theyre made fresh daily. We have caverns to explore and beautiful coral heads teaming with almost every variety of tropical fish: giant yellow fin rock fish, nassaua grouper, loggerhead turtles, crawfish, and yellow tails by the ton. You can bring your own equipment or rent gear at the local dive shop. Go on supervised dives with a group or go on your own at a multitude of sites, ship wrecks, and rock formations. If you are not ready for a deep dive or night dive, you can experience all of the beauty with just a snorkel and mask. Many of our reefs are within walking distance, right off of the beach. If you are a pro or a novice we have something for you to enjoy at the Long Bay House on Green Turtle Cay.

We have a 90ft dock on the Black Sound that can accomodate boats up to 40ft drawing less than 3ft, and for the bigger guys we have a mooring ball in the Black Sound with 8ft of water. We have hundreds of uninhabited beaches all around us and short day trips to Cuana Cay, Treasure Cay, Hope Town, or even Marsh Harbor. It's all easy and safe with just a little knowledge and common sense. We do have captains and guides available to take you boating or fishing, if you feel the need. The reefs are close and easily seen and negotiated, making it a great place for just going fast and enjoying the sun or bobbing around and doing nothing.
