Surrounded by this splendid environment, our inn has 12 rooms, all of them overlooking outdoors and with fully-equipped private bathroom. They include 2 suites with hydromassage bath tubs. The inn can accommodate 36 people in its rooms and 4 more in one cabin. Services include heating and ventilation, TV, IDD and NDD, facsimile, e-mail, maid, room service and hot water 24 hours a day. Optional services: laundry. More than 20 years ago a little Pub was born by the name of The Paradise, one of the first pubs of the village, being a chosen place for all World Wide travelers. With time The Paradise evolved into a Hotel-Restaurant with its spirit and personality well kept from its roots. We all work under the regional style essence in contrary to the international style. The Southern Right Whale (Eubalaena Australis) This is a cetaceous that has dwelled the planet for at least 55 million years. The adult whale can reach a length of 12 to 16 meters, and weigh between 50 and 55 tons. Its head occupies almost one quarter of the total length of the body and, in some parts, it is covered with callosities where a great deal of parasite crustaceans take shelter. This whale has a calf every three years. Gestation takes twelve months and the calf is breast-fed for two years. Each year, around 600 specimens visit our shores between May and December, although the population of the Valds Peninsula area is estimated to include over 1200 animals. Their presence in our waters attracts around 50 thousand people from all over the world each season. South American Sea Lion This is a pinniped (from the family of the otariidae) which moves along the ground using its front and back flippers. The male can reach a length of 2.3 meters and a weight of 350 kilograms. This species may be seen all year round in the Valdes Peninsula. Magellanic Penguin The largest continental colony of this sea bird outside Antarctica is located in our zone, lodging over 500 thousand birds from September to mid April. Dolphins Along the entire Patagonian shore, several species of dolphins (cetaceans) may be watched. The bottle-nosed dolphin is the most characteristic in the southern hemisphere and it stands out for the black and white contrast of its body. Orcas These mammals (cetaceans), unlike the whale, have powerful teeth. They can reach between 8 and 9.5 meters of length and weigh between 5 and 9 tons. They may be watched mainly from February to April and from October to November. During your stay, you can make all necessary arrangements to enjoy various activities, fish salmon or any other local fish, dive in the caves and caverns, come across starfish and other sea species. Land and sea excursions will lead you through adventure. You may also practice sports activities such as mountain biking, sandboarding, hiking, windsurfing, sailing and canoeing. It is our aim to provide you an amusing and adventurous experience. Welcome to paradise! A Day Fishing An exciting activity surrounded by nature typical of the Patagonian seas in charge of professionals authorized by the provincial government. The ride lasts approximately 5 hours and includes a snack and full equipment on board our boats. The variety of fish includes salmon, grouper, sea bream and dogfish. Fishing is guaranteed and excursions may be either individual or in groups. Diving Puerto Piramides is a unique site for the practice of autonomous diving. The crystal-clear waters and the ancient sea bed as well as the natural space turn this spot into an ideal place for resting at The Paradise Inn as you enjoy all the alternatives offered by the surrounding environment. We can offer the following subaquatic activities: -First-time diving: The purpose of this experience is to introduce people who have never experienced this activity into diving in a secure, controled and amusing dive. This experience is prepared to guide people who do not know the subaquatic world. The resort is located in the ecotourist village of Puerto Piramides in the Valdes Peninsula Natural Reserve, in Chubut, Argentinian Patagonia. Its beaches present a soft slope and are bathed by quiet transparent waters and protected by high cliffs that resemble pyramids. They are an ideal habitat for a great diversity of wildlife: sea lions, whales, penguins, orcas, dolphins, elephant seals, a wide range of birds, foxes, guanacos, rheas and countless fish, to mention some specimens. With nature as an irresistible attraction, Puerto Piramides is also the only place authorized to watch whales from a boat.
