The guest-house and restaurant is situated in the historical part of Poprad - in Spisska Sobota. The oldest written historical reference about the latter dates back to 1256, but the archeological excavations have proved its existence already in the years BC. The High Tatras background gives the town and the pension an unforgettable atmosphere. The building of the guest-house and restaurant was built in the first half of the 17. century and architectonically, the original construction style has been preserved; e.g. the windows, which have renaissance sills on the first floor and baroque sills downstairs. The building is registered in the list of cultural monuments of the Slovak republic. The accommodating capacity of the guesthouse is designed to hold 19 people in 6 rooms. The rooms are two-bed with possibility of adding more beds. All of them are equipped with a bathroom, fridge, minibar and a TV set. There are wood fireplaces in four of them. The most valuable room architectonically has a view to the square, and its ceiling cross vaults are supported by two original renaissance pillars. The stylish furnishing of the rooms often carries the gests into the past and tickles their fantasy to fancy themselves in the 17. century. The backbone of our menu is made of meals of high quality and excellent taste, which attract gourmets also from farther distances. You can pay for everything by your credit or debit card. Fancy restaurant offers sitting in three - spatially differentiated parts: sitting in a burger's room with the capacity of 20 seats sitting at with the capacity of 12 seats with an opportunity to bake your own bread or apple pie sitting in a blacksmith's room with an open fire and with the capacity of 18 seats. During summer season, you can sit in a styled summer garden with original well, awaiting you with a neat surprise, with an old nut tree and the possibility of organizing fencing show with medieval music, whereas the garden restaurant's capacity is 34 seats. Environment is ideally suited for organizing various family or company parties. One of such places is also the town of Spisska Sobota. The first documented reference of Spisska Sobota dates back to the year of 1256. In the parchment of the king Bela IV, it is introduced as the Forum sabathe (Saturday market). The commercial character of the town facilitated the guild development but also trade and cultural life. After the plantation of German settlers, Spisska Sobota had become one of the most important Spis towns, intrepidly competing with such important Spis centers as were the towns of Kezmarok and Levoca. There has been preserved many significant artistico-historical monuments in Spisska Sobota.
