Terms Conditions Reservations Guaranteed Reservations and Deposits All reservations must be guaranteed to a major credit card or debit card (American Express, Visa, MasterCard or Switch/Maestro) at the time of reservation. I f your reservation cannot be honoured, we will arrange your accommodation in another serviced apartment/hotel at our expense, and provide transportation to and from Chester Residence as reasonable. Cancellation Policy Cancellations for a guaranteed reservation must be received at least 5 working days prior to the arrival date (the Required Date). If cancellation of a guaranteed reservation is not received by the Required Date, Chester Residence Ltd will charge to your debit or credit card (provided at time of reservation) a 25% cancellation fee of the total amount due. If a booking is cancelled less than 24hrs in advance (later than 14:00 the day before the booking is due to commence) then the Chester Residence Ltd will charge 100% cancellation fee of the total amount due. Deposit requirements Deposits are required for certain weekends and public holidays throughout the year such as rugby internationals, New Year and Xmas. Any bookings during the month of August (or whilst the Edinburgh festival is on) will also be subject to payment of a deposit. Reservations during these times (and any other time when Chester Residence Ltd advises you that a deposit is required) will be subject to a deposit of 25% of the cost of your total stay. Deposits will be taken at the time of booking if the booking is made less than 28 days in advance of your stay. In the case of bookings made 28 days or more before the date of stay, the deposit will be taken 29 days in advance of your arrival. The deposit will be subtracted from the total amount due at your time of departure. The deposit is entirely non-refundable should you cancel your guaranteed reservation, regardless of whether this is done by the Required Date as discussed above. However, for the avoidance of doubt, should you forfeit your deposit by cancelling your guaranteed reservation, you will not be charged an additional cancellation fee in accordance with the above cancellation policy. Rate and Tax/Service Charge Details All displayed rates and benefits are intended for 2 persons for double room bookings and 4 persons for quadruple room bookings. Credit and Debit Cards The following cards are accepted at Chester Residence Ltd: Times of Arrival and Departure Check-in time is from 2pm and departure time is 12am. Early Arrivals and Late Departures If your arrival is early in the day and you prefer immediate access to your room before [2pm], we recommend reserving for the prior night to guarantee immediate access. Similarly, for late departures, reserving an additional night will guarantee access until you leave the hotel. If you choose not to reserve, we will be glad to store your luggage. Extending Your Stay Extensions will require a new reservation for the additional date(s), subject to availability and prevailing rates, and are subject to possible rate change. Pets There are no pets allowed (with the exception of guide dogs). Complaints and Disputes Chester Residence reserves the right to require you to leave if you are causing disturbance or annoyance to other guests or Chester Residence staff, or if you are otherwise behaving in an unacceptable manner. Losses and Liabilities You will be liable for any loss, damage or personal injury that you may cause at the hotel and to hotel property. Chester Residence reserves the right to charge your debit or credit card (before or after your departure) for the full cost of repair or replacement of any damaged property. Chester Residence will use its reasonable endeavours to discuss and agree with you any appropriate charge before departure, but will proceed to charge your debit or credit card if this is not possible. Chester Residence also reserves the right to charge your debit or credit card for any extras that remain unpaid at departure time. Extras may include, without limitation, telephone charges, alcoholic beverages and laundry charges.
