Introduction We have made the booking process as simple as possible to avoid any unnecessary complications. However, it is important to have a set of terms and conditions so that when you enter into a rental agreement with us, you can be sure of exactly where you stand, before you make the booking. In any agreement, both parties have certain obligations, simple or otherwise - the terms and conditions set out those obligations. We have combined the booking process with the terms and conditions, so that you only have to read one page to get all this information. Booking Process and Terms Conditions 1. Check that the apartment of your choice is available for your intended dates of stay. You can do this be checking the availability checker for Apartment Rio availability checker for Darija House. 2. Complete the online booking form for Apartment Rio booking form for Darija House. we require the details of your stay, such as the date of arrival and departure, amount of people, your contact details, etc. When you have completed the form, press the submit button. 3. Your booking form will come to us via email, and we will process the booking without delay. To do this we will first double check that the apartment is available, and then we will contact you by email with the following; a confirmation that the apartment is available for your chosen dates - we will hold this availability for a short period whilst we await payment of your booking deposit. - a request for a booking deposit - this will be 20% of the total rental cost of your booking, this is required to guarantee. - details of our bank account (Raiffeisen Bank in Dubrovnik) and instructions regarding the bank transfer of the booking deposit. 4. Once we have received the booking deposit we will contact you without delay to confirm the booking details to you, and supply you with all the information you require regarding the booking and the apartment or house. 5. (APARTMENT RIO ONLY) When you arrive at the apartment, you will be asked for the remaining 80% of the booking cost and also 150 security deposit to cover any damages, (the security deposit is of course 100% refundable at the end of your stay when you return the keys to us). 5. (DARIJA HOUSE ONLY) The remaining 80% of the booking cost is due 6 weeks before arrival by bank transfer (so if you book within 6 weeks of arrival, you will be asked to pay the 100% cost in one lump sum. And 150 security deposit is required on arrival to cover any damages, in either Euros, GBP or Kunas, (the security deposit is of course 100% refundable at the end of your stay when you return the keys to us). Please note: unfortunately we cannot accept credit cards. When the reservation is confirmed to you, we will give you all the instructions about payment. Cancellations If you cancel at least 30 days prior to arrival, we will refund your booking deposit (20% of total cost) in full and without delay. However, if you do not give at least 30 days notice your booking deposit (20% of total cost) will be forfeited - this is due to the inconvenience caused. However, it may be possible to transfer the deposit to a different stay - i.e. alternative dates - if availability can be established. We will of course try to be as reasonable as possible but cannot make a gurantee that an agreement will be reached in this instance. Rules of the house (sorry, there is no escaping a few rules) Defects - deficiencies, damage to, or failure of, any items in the apartments must be reported to the owner immediately, and not left until the day of departure. Occupants - number must not exceed the maximum as indicated on the tariff, and as stated in your booking form. Pets - apologies, pets are not allowed. Neighbours - renters must not cause a nuisance or disturb other people living in the area. Cleanliness - apartment must be left in a clean and tidy condition. Children - Darija House has no child-friendly facilities and is really only suitable for adults and children over 12. Note: We will do our best to make sure that the booking process is as hassle-free as possible and that you thoroughly enjoy the apartment during your stay. Introduction The apartments offered at Apartments-Dubrovnik.com are owned privately by 2 croatian families, one of which is living in Dubrovnik, and the other is based in England. The website was designed and launched in early 2003 to promote the apartments to holiday visitors from all over the world. By promoting the apartments in this way, it has become possible to manage the letting of the properties without using a property letting agent. This means that clients will deal directly with the property owners, and therefore can be be assured of the best of service, care and knowledge at all times. Your Representative When you book an apartment, your request will be dealt with by one of the two owners, Vivi (Apartment Rio) and Davor (Darija House). Vivi is heavily involved in the tourist industry, managing the sales of a prominent Dubrovnik Hotel, and regularly leading walking tours of Dubrovnik Old Town. A qualified Professor of Languages, and a former teacher, Vivi speaks fluent Spanish, Italian, English and Croatian. Her local knowledge and excellent language abilities means that she can advise you in a range of matters to help make your stay more comfortable and enjoyable. There are many good reasons why it is better to stay in a private apartment than a hotel. Most of our clients recognise that apartments are far cheaper than staying in a hotel. Hotels can be very expensive to run due to the range of services that they offer and high staff expenses - these costs have to be recouped from customers, which means high rates. On the other hand, private apartments are much simpler to run, maintain and market, therefore prices are relatively cheap. Private apartments offer you a place to live, where you can enjoy privacy and space - not just a room with a bed in it. The two apartments both have living areas where you can relax, receive and entertain friends, eat your meals, etc. You will also have your own private kitchen (complete with a cooker, range of crockery, cutlery and cooking pans), a bathroom with bath/shower and w/c, and of course seperate bedrooms.
