The Resolution Hotel. The Resolution Hotel can be found in the very heart of the historical town of Whitby. Built in 1779, it was once described as the most handsome house in Whitby. It has gone through many changes, originally known as Flowergate House, later turned into the Crown Hotel and then a Working Men's Club. It finally went through a £2 million transformation in 2002. The Hotel aims to cater for your every need, whilst providing excellent value for money. With 2 bars, a Large Restaurant, 21 fully en-suite bedrooms and a function room with a capacity to cater for 150 people, The Resolution Hotel will certainly be able to meet your every need. After a recent change of ownership in September 2007, the Resolution is starting a new phase in its life. The Resolution is one of the only hotels in the surrounding areas that will take single night bookings at weekends, however, please be aware, the longer you stay the bigger your discount: Mon - Thurs: £70 per room, per night. Fri - Sunday: £85 per room, per night. 2 night weekend stay: £150 per room. 3 night weekend stay: £200 per room. Mon - Thurs: £50 per room, per night. Fri - Sunday: £65 per room, per night. All rates include full english breakfast. We aim to cater for all needs, so if you need any furthur assistance with specific group bookings or party events, please get in touch. NB: The Hotel operates a strict 48 hour cancellation policy. In the event that you do cancel your booking without prior notice you will be charged in full.
