All the king-size beds are dressed in island colors. All of our units are in the former governor's house on Simpson Bay with the exception of one which is set back off the beach. While all of the units have a fully-equipped. and a complete bath (sink, toilet, and shower), no two units are the same. The ground floor units have direct access to the beach and a view of the beach through floor to ceiling windows bringing the beauty of tropical flora to your room. You can use our shopping list on the us a shoppng list, but consider: Breakfast: juice, eggs, bacon, sliced ham, cereal (specify type), bread, butter, margarine, sugar, milk (specify type), coffee (instant or ground), tea, fruit. Lunch/Snacks: cold cuts (specify type), cheese, crackers, bread, lettuce, tomatoes, mayonaise, mustard, butter, margarine. Drinks: Soft drinks, Beer, Wine, Liquor (specify type and quantity). We have a fully-equipped, full-size in every unit. The dining area, as seen below, is also spacious. Note the fresh flowers from our gardens.

The showers in and outside! Lots of privacy - only 8 units. Great palm trees in front of your unit. Wonderful, uncrowded beach steps away Casual wear-bathing suits, shorts, no shoes Cookout facility - fun, saves money on food. Maid service-the ladies were so nice to talk with. Covered patio for those of us who shouldn't get too much sun. Magnificent view at all times, rain or shine. All the boats, the drawbridge activity, etc. Intimacy - you serve as our friend in a foreign land as opposed larger hotels which are very nice but sterile and impersonal. The neatness and cleanliness - beach is raked, property cleaned up each day. Restaurants - good, inexpensive ones within walking distance. Transportation - don't need a car. Beautiful water, great swimming. Plenty of chaises and chairs. Laundry service available. Our thanks to Jack and Gail West. Jon and I wanted to write you and say thanks so much for the wonderful few days we spent at the Horny Toad guest house! Having the kitchen and private balcony helped us feel almost like we had our own place right on the beach. It was just perfect for us, especially after just returning from St. Kitts, where we'd had to eat out for every meal, which gets exhausting and expensive. Thank you, and the rest of your staff, for making us feel right at home! The individual attention, and spacious, spotless accomodations, make your guest house much more of a luxury vacation spot than any upscale large resort. We would be happy to make a reservation for a rental car for you. We deal with a reliable local company to assure that the car you request will be available when you arrive. There are many models of cars available and they range from a subcompact with a manual transmission and air-conditioning to larger cars or jeeps. Current prices for the winter season start at about $35 per day for the subcompact and rise to $115 per day for a sports-utility vehicle. Summer rates run from $20 to $85. Weekly rentals are charged for six days with the seventh day free. There is an 8% government tax and insurance is available at $10 to $20 per day. A credit card is required. Please call, car reservation form to get the latest information on pricing, discounts, and availablity. You may take a shuttle to to the car rental company office or you may take a taxi (less than $10 and ten minutes) to The Horny Toad Guesthouse and we will make sure that your car is delivered here shortly after your arrival.

We are located on beautiful Simpson Bay. Exit the airport and turn right onto Airport Road. After circling the end of the runway, turn right onto Sr Patientia Road. You should see our sign indicating the turn. Continue to the end of the street (about a quarter mile - do not continue on the dirt track to the beach) and turn right again onto the paved road. After one block turn left onto Vlaun and continue to our enclosed parking lot on the right.

Walk down this garden path to reach the eight units in the former governor's house on Simpson Bay Beach. Flowers line our garden path and surround our buildings. Fresh cut flowers are arranged in the rooms daily. The red flowers above are bougainvillea, these pink flowers are hibiscus, and the yellowflowers are allemandes. Our outdoor barbecue pavilion was rebuilt and enlarged after Lenny. There are two Weber gas grills for your use. There are tables and chairs in the pavilion and a great view of Simpson Bay.

The garden path brings you to Simpson Bay Beach and the front of our units. The chairs are for your use at no charge. The steps, partially hidden behind the palm frond on the left, lead to one of the longest and calmest beaches on the island.
