trip which is about 8 kilometers. In the last few years, price on hand
phone and service have gone down sharply therefore almost everyone carries one presently. There are five companies providing mobile
phones services and numbers starting from: 011, 012, 016, and 015. Government
offices are open from 7:30AM to 5:00PM but for most
banks 8:00AM to 3:30PM on weekday. However most

The Angkor National Museum is the first and only museum in Siem Reap, the home of one of the world's great wonders, Angkor Wat. The aim of the Angkor National Museum is to amass a collection of invaluable objects d'art from the ancient Khmer Kingdom. A unique, sprawling cultural attraction in SiemReap intended to introduce the visitor to Cambodian culture and history.The village has an assembly of all the miniatures of famous historical buildings and structures, local customs and practices of all races. Interesting wax museum features scenes and figures from history. Drive to the boat departure point at Chong Khneas for the canal cruise to view the floating village and out onto Tonle Sap Lake. Turning south, the
trip takes you past the shoreline of mangrove trees and pass fishing boats out on the lake. You can stop in the mangroves to have a relaxed light picnic
lunch aboard the boat then cruise again the canals to visit Kompong Pluk village. At just about 42km north of Siem Reap Town, many visitors combine a visit to Phnom Kulen with a
trip to the pink sandstone temple of Banteay Srei. On either side of the mountain, tall waterfalls crash down the mountain; clean and cool waters provide a wonderful place for tourists. Carvings of Brahmin Yonis and lingas can be seen etched into the riverbed. During the day, elephants await customers near Bayon or at the South Gate of Angkor Thom. In the evenings, elephants are stationed at the base of Phnom Bakheng, ready to transport riders up the hill for sunset. Between $10-$15 for a twenty minute ride. Experience the dance and music styles of a Khmer dance performance. Discover the history and legends of the Kingdom through various types of popular and classical dances performed by the Apsara Ballet troupe at Angkor Hotel. Step back in time to the courts of the Angkorian Kings and wonder at the magnificence of the traditionally styled performers' costumes.
