Gites Analise These four Gites are situated just half a mile from our Gite here at La Prairie. They share a large swimming pool and children's play area. This large Gite will be open for the summer of 2008, with 5 bedrooms, sleeping a total of 15 people - each bedroom with it's own bathroom. Downstairs a fully equipped kitchen and large Living area makes it ideal for larger families or groups. Shared by all the Gites Analise is a superb heated swimming pool, children's play area and patio/bbq areas situated by each Gite. The Gites are just half a mile from the nearest small town with Restaurant, Boulangerie, Supermarket etc... Please do contact for more information. This Gite 'GT' has 2 double bedrooms and a triple room (one double downstairs) There is a bathroom on the ground floor and a bathroom upstairs. (sleeps 7 people) A smallish kitchen - fully equipped and a good size dining/sitting area with patio doors leading out onto a patio with garden furniture etc... All four Gites are situated on a working farm, there is farm machinery to the rear of the Gites but it is all safely fenced off. The Gites share a large grassed area, play area for children and a huge swimming pool. This lovely small Gite 'FAP' is perfect for a couple (and perhaps one child using a foldaway bed) - it has one bedroom with bathroom and a living area with kitchen corner. It is quite secluded on the farm and had it's own patio area - the swimming pool is not too far away! This smaller studio Gite 'HP' overlooks the swimming pool and is ideal for a couple with a double bed and living area, plus bathroom. It is on the upper floor and is reached by a games area (sometimes used by the French owners' children)

Our two Gites 'Glycine' and 'Lavande' can be rented for a minimum of 3 nights. Please note : our large Gite Roseraie is described on the second page - it has three bedrooms and sleeps up to 9 people. In addition to the two Gites described below, we also have a small selection of other Gites (some on their own with private pools) situated quietly in the countryside - just hover over the button 'Gites Lavande/Glycine' to the left and you will see another page 'Gites near La Prairie'. Gite 'Glycine' A perfect small Gite overlooking the swimming pool and horses field beyond. Glycine is cosy, but perfectly formed - ideal for two. It has a living area with a double bed and single bed, dining table and reading chairs - a small kitchenette with fridge, microwave oven and hob; and of course a small shower room. Access is via the swimming pool area, so not recommended for small children. everything was just perfect - the Gite is delightful, all your recommendations were excellent - we are going home with boxes of wine, super jams from the market in Saumur and some lovely memories thank you for being such wonderful hosts. We have thouroughly enjoyed our time here at La Prairie. There is so much to see and do in the region, we may have to come back again! See you soon!. June and September : 480 euro per week. July and August : 600 euro per week. Rates include all linen, electricity and heating when necessary. Gite Glycine living area and kitchenette. This cottage is in the middle of being refurbished for 2008. It will have a double bedroom and a triple room, bathroom; kitchen/dining room and sitting room with a log burner. It will much in the same style as our Gite Roseraie with stone walls, oak beams but with a modern feel! Being completely on the ground floor it is ideal for people with mobility problems and for young children. perfect for our family of 5 the children loved the animals. Coffee will always be remembered, in fact our children are insisting on coming back next year because Coffee will miss us! There is plenty for the children to do - from rowing the boat, riding the horses, swimming, playing badminton with Lionel plus lots to do away from La Prairie - Le Puy de Fou, Futuroscope, Holly Park and the lovely lake at Rill come and enjoy!. We had a really lovely stay at La Prairie. The setting is so serene and a few stray neighbouring ponies livened things up in the morning! It is good to be so still in the garden, listen to the birds and the horses snort and nicker.. The Gite is gorgeous and your welcoming hospitality just completed the perfect holiday 3 nights minimum : 135 Euro per night, including linen, electricity etc.. Weekly July 15th -August : : 1150 euro 1st two weeks July : 900 euro. Weekly November - April : 700 euro (heating extra). Weekly May, June, Sept, Oct : 750 euro. Le Gite Lavande est trs spacieux avec cuisine equipe, salon/salle a manger, salle de bains, une chambre avec grand lit et une chambre avec 3 lits simples. Il est meuble avec des belles Antiquities de la region. Le Gite est de plein pied, donc parfait pour les enfants ou les personnes avec difficultes. Both our gites can be rented for a minimum of 3 nights during off-peak times or 7 nights + during June/July/August. Our Gites are of a very high quality and we ask you to respect this when using them. Rates include linen/towels/electricity/water etc.. plus a welcome pack on your arrival. (bread, milk, tea, coffee etc..). We ask for a breakage deposit of 500 Euro or 350 pounds sterling, which is returned to you at the end of your stay (subject to breakages and damage of course!). The swimming pool is security fenced with a security alarm, however the Gite 'Glycine' has direct access to the pool, so is not advised for children under the age of 7. La Prairie indicated byRed Star Chateaux indicated by Black marks. Vernantes - our nearest small town. Directions from Paris by car : Take the A11 towards LE MANS and ANGERS (and NANTES). When you get near to ANGERS turn onto the A85 towards SAUMUR and TOURS. Exit the road at SAUMUR (junction 3) and then turn left onto the D767 towards VERNANTES, LE MANS and LE LUDE. ** Once you arrive at VERNANTES turn left (by the Pelican Hotel/restaurant) and follow the signs towards ST PHILBERT DU PEUPLE. As you leave the town, you will see a long wall on the LEFT - keep going to the end and you will see some large grain silos on the RIGHT. Just after the grain silos and after the entrance to the Chateau on your left - TURN RIGHT (there is a small LA PRAIRIE sign) by the small house. (it is literally the 1st road on the RIGHT AFTER the entrance to the Chateau on your LEFT) - the road is hidden slightly so go slowly after the entrance to the Chateau!! Continue down this small lane (under some trees) and we are the next property on the RIGHT - (you will see another LA PRAIRIE sign the entrance is just before the barn by the Oak trees... drive round to the court yard and we will be there to welcome you!! If you are staying for 3 nights or less at La Prairie we recommend that perhaps on the way you could visit Chateau Chambord and Chateau Cheverny - there is so much to see, by doing this you will make the most of your time in the Loire! If you do decide to visit these chateaux on the way it will probably be better for you to take the A10 out of Paris, then exit this road at Junction 17 for BLOIS. After visiting the two chateaux follow the directions for Tours and SAUMUR and then take the D767 for VERNANTES and ** above.
