SEATAC to Seattle Ferry Terminal. To travel to the Rain Forest Hostel via Seattle and Port Angeles. From the roadway outside the lower level baggage claim at SEATAC
airport, board King County Metro Route #194 to downtown Seattle. This bus leaves every half hour (approximately 5 and 35 minutes after the hour) for the 30 minute
trip into Seattle. Get off the bus at the Pioneer Square tunnel station. From the bus stop, walk 5 blocks west to the waterfront, then two blocks north to the Washington State Ferry terminal at Pier 52. A McDonalds sign located at the ferry terminal is a conspicuous landmark at the pier. To continue on to the Rain Forest Hostel via Port Angeles and Forks, board the Bainbridge Island ferry (Bremerton Ferry on Saturdays) and follow the directions From Seattle - Northern Route above. Room Rates -Includes bedding, but $1 is charged for sheets if you don't have a sleep sheet or sleeping bag important notice: Reservations are required and need confirmation. If you call during the time when the hostel is closed and I'm not here, please call back after 5pm or email me so that I can confirm your request. Thanks. Capacity: March through October - 26 beds; November through February - 14 beds. The hostel is closed from 11:00am til 5:00pm. Private trailer, per couple. $10.00 per adult plus $5.00 per child plus $1 extra for
private room. Group Rates (12 or more). (All prices include tax. Payment in cash or traveler checks.). All guests participate in the maintenance and upkeep of the hostel. Those who stay are given a chore of 15 minutes that is done befor leaving each morning. If you plan to leave very early, the chore can be done in the evening. The jobs include weeding the
garden, washing windows, mopping the floors and scrubbing the
bathtub. I think that, rather than charging more for each overnight, each person's contribution to the cleanup means more to me and to each other. Camping, with use of the hostel
kitchen and
showers is available to travelers arriving by bus or
bike... There is plenty of wide open space upon which to stake out your tent. Tucked within a stand of alder you will find a couple of campsites as well!! Reservations via email at: You can reserve the couples accommodations, the
family room or spaces for a group. To accomplish this you must send a deposit of one day's fee; i.e., to reserve a couples accommodation, send $21 to The Rain Forest Hostel c/o in the form of a check or money order (no credit cards please). Please remember to write my name on the check as well, since it makes it easier to deposit. This should be sent within 7 days of the first time you contact the hostel about a specific day or days. You can alter or cancel your reservation up to 3 weeks before you arrive and receive a full refund if you cancel. However, once you fall within the 3 week window and you cancel or shorten your reserved length of stay, you will lose your deposit; mail to: Rainforest Hostel, 169312, Hwy 101, Forks, WA 98331. Often there is
room for those who wish special accommodations, but during the months of July and August, I suggest having your place reserved.
