Lots Of
Bedrooms We have a total of twelve
bedrooms. Two are single, ten are doubles or twin. All our
rooms are en-
suite and half of them include a
bath as well as
shower. All
rooms are equipped with colour
television including sky
tv,
tea and
coffee makers,
hairdryers,
telephones,
radio alarms and are fully centrally heated. Families Are Welcome We can make one of our
rooms into a triple and can provide a cot on request. Children are of course always welcome and are fully catered for with our children's specials. Sister Hotel in Castle Douglas We are fortunate that, in the event of The Imperial being unable to accommadate you, we our sister hotel also. (In somecases we have split larger
parties between the two hotels.) You can view the The Urr Valley Hotel at
www.urrvalleyhotel.com. Everything You Need Pets are welcome by arrangement.
Parking is easy with our own private car park and there is a drying
room. For the golfers we have secure storage for your clubs. Double Let as single.

screen, sits back to back with a
lounge bar which will be re-furbished in early '06. There is also a
pool room with two tables, 2 dart boards and a jukebox. Dominos are also available. Whiskey And Spirits As is natural for such a well reputed Scottish establishment, we have a large range of
drinks - both alcoholic and soft. We have all the popular brands of malt whiskeys and an extensive selection of other spirits. Red And White Wines There is a wide selection of white and red wines which are available by the glass or bottle. We will get in whatever you want! Beers Our beers include Tennents Lager, McEwans 70/-, McEwans 80/-, Fosters, Kronenbourg 1664,John Smiths, and Guinness. There are ciders and all manner of other bottled
drinks
Fishing Fishermen of all ages are catered for; coarse fishing on Loch Ken, home of some large pike, perch and trout. Salmon rivers abound-the Esk, Annan, Urr, Dee, Cree and Stincher are all well known. Or how about hiring a boat and wetting a fly for rainbow trout in the one of the well stocked lochs. Not forgetting the sea angler where Solway offers a great variety of fish. Swimming
Fitness For the swimmers amongst you, a heated indoor
pool is directly across from The Imperial complete with a
sauna and new
fitness suite with all the latest machinery. A Wide Range Of Other sports Sailing and wind-surfing are available at as well as shooting in season.
Squash,
tennis bowling, boating or a leisurely round of putting are all available down at our own Carlingwark Loch. Spectacular Scenery Within easy reach of The Imperial are beautiful
safe beaches, bays, inlets, lochs, rivers and spectacular cliff top walks. Lochside Theatre Lochside Theatre is a producing / receiving venue in the former St Andrew;s church which was converted in 1996 by members of three local drama / musical groups. The two hundred seat auditorium is has a regular programme of music, drama, dance, and cinema. Check out what's on at their website. Walking and Cycling Why not sample the solitude of our hills and a section of the Southern Upland Way - Britain's first coast to coast footpath, steeped in Scottish history. Cycling has become increasingly popular - hire is also available in town. Mountain biking is extensive in the area, with many off-road and woodland tracks. The Hotel is on Cycle Route 7. Castles,
Gardens and Museums There are beautiful
gardens such as Threave, Logan Botanical or Arbigland - the birth place of John Paul Jones, founder of the American Navy. Consider a
trip to one of many local Castles, museums or stately homes such as Drumlanrig. Visit a salmon ladder at a hydro power station or lead mine; drive down the Raider's Road and picnic at the statue of the otter-a memorial to Gavin Maxwell, author of Ring of Bright Water. Alternatively, take a breather, relax and make yourself feel at home.

parties arrive/depart town. Avoid Tuesday Thursday after 4.00.pm. If Steward not in attendance, use 'Honesty' box.2 new holes in play in 2006. Can suffer if very wet. Great views over the Dee to Threave Castle.Ideal for beginners high handicapers or a warm up before the
