In the KLEZMER HOIS restaurant you will discover a wide variety of Jewish cuisine. We do not have rabbinical supervision (we do not have certificate of kashrut) though we respect the obligatory rules of kosher cuisine. KLEZMER HOIS (KLEZMER's HOUSE) is located in the heart of Kazimierz, the Jewish Quarter in Cracow. In the former Mykva building, it is 70 meters from the Remuh Synagogue. He was born before World War II in Przemylany near Lwow. A graduate of the Lwow Conservatory and the National Musical High School in Cracow. A composer, conductor and pianist. He was the musical director of the Jewish Theater in Warsaw and the gypsy band Roma, as well as the musical consultant of the Rzeszowiacy ensamble. The founder of Zespo Pieni i Taca Krakowskiego Okrgu Wojskowegoot. He worked on all Polish versions of The fiddler on the roof musical. The author of theatrical and movie music (e.g. to Austeria;, Winds of War, polish sequences of War and love, gypsy sequences of Spring waters, Schindler's List - camp and ghetto music). In the Schindler's List he played the role of an Investor. He also performed in the film about Itzchak Perlman In the Fidler's Home. Paintings of Mariusz Lipiski. Mariusz Lipiski was born in 1945 in a Jewish family, both his parents were painters. His father graduated from the Krakow's Art Academy, under the supervision of prof. Aksentowicz. After he had graduated from the Art Secondary School in Jarosaw, he moved to Krakow where he started studies at the Art Academy, the faculty of painting. He studied under the supervision of prof. W. Taranczewski, Cz. Rzepiski, A. Stopka and T. Kantora. He received his diploma in the class of prof. Nowosielski. He has been fascinated by the Jewish culture, its unique atmosphere, with the scenes from everyday life, which he has tried to revive in his paintings.
