Heritage House 1914 Bed and
Breakfast. Heritage House 1914 was built in 1914 and is called an Edwardian Square. We are situated on a beautiful treed boulevard and are located in the
centre of downtown Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, in the Heritage Conservation area of Hamilton. It is surmised that the original landscaping on the boulevard was restricted to grass cover and that trees were planted at a later date probably in the 1920s when a significant number of houses had been built. This conjecture is supported by the age of the oldest trees on St. Clair Boulevard. The largest Norway Maples on the
centre stip are estimated to be about 70 years old. During the 70s, open flower beds were maintained but have since been replaced with shrub beds. It is known that St Clair Boulevard once featured the original street lamps made of cast
iron poles and had round cluster globes. These gas lamps were located in a single row down the
centre of the middle strip. These were removed in the 50s. In the recent past the residents of St Clair have had two of these old lamps donated to them by the Hamilton Gas company and we have had them converted to electricity and replaced back in the Boulevard, (one at each end of the
centre strip). Furnished with antiques, this home is a refuge from the busy activities which take place throughout the city. It offers a peace and tranqility that make it difficult for one to imagine they are only minutes from the city
centre. We invite you to visit with us in Hamilton. Explore its history, enjoy the concerts at Copps Colliseum, meet the people. Dine at some of the finest
restaurants. Whatever your pleasure, I am sure that you will leave Hamilton feeling a little richer for the experience of having visited our city and
meeting the people who call Hamilton their home. 202 St Clair Blvd Hamilton, Ontario Canada, L8M 2P1
