Click here for special events accommodation. Dartmouth is a beautiful, historic small town with a warm welcome to visitors throughout the year. Early visitors can enjoy the peace of Spring walks along the coast path and inland villages, or around the Dart Valley Trail. The beauty of the River Dart is recognised throughout the world. You can enjoy a cruise on the river steamer to Totnes when the tides are right, or around the harbour for a shorter trip. Perhaps take the small ferry to Dittisham, have lunch and walk back along the Dart Valley Trail or hire a little boat and explore the river independently. Alternatively, go for a half-day sea fishing trip or try sailing with one of the sailing schools. Whatever your choice there is a lot of fun to be had, on or off the water, in and around Dartmouth.

Cancellation Policy: In the unfortunate event that you have to cancel, or postpone your booking, we reserve the right to charge the full amount, unless three full days notice is given prior to your arrival date. We will, at all times, endeavour to avoid this becoming payable by re-letting the reservation. A. No liability is accepted by the owners for any personal injury to guests, or for any loss or damage to their property B. The proprietors shall not be held responsible or liable for any loss or damage to valuables, personal property of any kind, motor vehicles, motor cycles, boats etc or personal injury or death, direct or indirect, irrespective of how it was sustained, occasioned or caused to anyone of any age (including persons under 18 years) who is a resident or invitee of the proprietors whether caused by or resulting from any default, wilful act, negligence, omission, neglect or otherwise on the part of the proprietors, their servants or agents or any residents, guests or invitees. A. If the booking is cancelled then the deposit is not returned and the balance is still payable on the due date. Every effort will be made to re-let and if successful will mean a refund of the monies paid, less expenses. We recommend holiday insurance is taken out. B. In the event of you cancelling, please advise us immediately. We will make every effort to re-let the accommodation and if we are able to do so we will refund your payment, less expenses. If we are unable to re-let then all monies are forfeited. We strongly recommend that you ensure that you have adequate holiday insurance cover. Cancellation continued. 1 - In the extreme unlikely event of our having to cancel your holiday, we will refund any payment you have made to us, this is the limit of our liability. 2 - If for any reason the booked accommodation is not available, liability shall be limited to a full refund of the monies paid to the proprietors. 3 - In the event of the accommodation becoming unavailable (eg. through fire or illness ) we will endeavour to provide suitable alternative accommodation, or will refund all monies paid or a portion in the case of curtailment. 4 - Unavailability of the property. The owner may cancel bookings made if the property becomes unavailable for reasons beyond the owner's reasonable control, including without limitation, flooding, fire, significant damage to the property or failure of utility services to the property. We will try to find you alternative accommodation or at your option, will refund any sums you have paid. We shall have no other liability to you. 5 - If the property is unavailable for the date booked due to unforeseen circumstances, all rent charges which have been paid will be refunded in full, but the tenant will have no further claim against the owner. Westbourne House dates back to 1840. The architecture is typical of its period, influenced, as the Victorian's were, by the romantic Italian-style villa. This splendid 19th Century home which enjoys a central location overlooking the bowling green and country side and is 3 minutes walk from the river Dart. Awarded the English Tourism Council five star rating with a silver award. Many original features have been retained and others carefully restored so that the house retains the elegance of an earlier period.
