Flowerbank has a fantastic riverside
garden available for guests all year round. The size of the
garden allows it to be divided into a number of distinct areas. Therefore the
garden includes a summerhouse, numerous flowerbeds and rockeries, pergola and fountain (left) and an extensive central lawn that runs to a tree-lined riverbank with seating areas (below right). The
garden is surrounded by large aesthetically pleasing stone walls that add both character and a great deal of privacy to the grounds. For those interested in seeing how the
garden looks in the Autumn and Winter seasons please click. The
garden's central lawn (left and below right) covers a very large area and as well as containing numerous interesting plants and trees provides the perfect area for enjoying the summer sunshine. For those who prefer to avoid the sun at it's hottest, the
garden's summerhouse and many mature tree's provide welcome shade. The
garden also has a chicken run along a section of the end wall providing fresh, free range eggs for the
kitchen. The vegetable plots and greenhouse allow us to grow a wide range of fresh ingredients for use in our
breakfasts and particularly evening meals.
