air-conditioned, designated heritage house. This 1873 Italianate home has a unique and peaceful atmosphere. Most people like to leave their cars here and walk to the theatres,
shops and
restaurants. There is plenty of eclectic art and beautiful, antique
furniture throughout the house. A full, organic
breakfast is served in the large formal dining/
living room. Local produce is used whenever it is available. Good
coffee is a priority in this house. The library is full of interesting books and magazines for your pleasure. A
TV and large
video and DVD collection are at your disposal and the fireplace enhances the cosiness of this
room. There is also
veranda seating out front with a lovely wooden swing right nearby. Angela Roman, your host, looks forward to welcoming returning and new guests to Legacy House. Her aim is to contribute to making your Stratford experience a memorable one. Basenji/Cattle dog cross in residence.

The stencilled floor and Persian carpet, all in shades of green and rose enhance the serenity of this large, bright
room. The fireplace warms you up on cool evenings with a
remote control you can use without getting out of bed. The
private bathroom just outside the door has a claw-foot
tub and pedestal
sink. Crisp, white robes are provided for the occupants of this queen-bedded
room.
From Chicago, Detroit (via Highway 401 through Windsor): Cross into Canada at Detroit/Windsor take Highway 401 east to Exit 189 (Highbury Avenue) travel North to Highway 7 East. East to Stratford and Erie Street. Turn left onto St. David (by the church, just before the railway overpass). Turn left at Church St. (first intersection, top of hill). We are on the corner on the left hand side. From Michigan (via Highway 402 through Sarnia): Cross into Canada at Port Huron/Sarnia. Take Highway 402 East to Exit 65 at Strathroy (Highway 81). Go North for 2 miles (3 kms) to County Road 19. Go north on County Road 19 to Ailsa Craig. Follow Highway 7 East to Stratford and Erie Street. We are on the corner on the left hand side. From Buffalo and the QEW: Cross into Canada at Buffalo/Fort Erie. Take the Queen Elizabeth Way (QEW) across Burlington Skyway to Exit 100 (Highway 403). Go West on Highway 403 to Highway 6 exit. Go north to Guelph/Highway 401. Take Highway 401 West to Exit 278 (Highway 8 West/
Kitchener). Go west on Highway 7/8. Follow exit to Stratford and Ontario Street. Take Ontario Street east. Turn left onto Erie St. (downtown). Turn right onto St. David (by the church, just after the railway overpass). From Toronto, Ottawa and Montreal: Take Highway 401 west to Exit 278 (Highway 8 West/
Kitchener)
Decorated around a beautiful quilt in soft blue butter colours, this middle
room is very peaceful and appealing. This can be a king or twin-bedded
room. The antique pieces, gorgeous linens and artwork all contribute to the eclectic decor and of course, the jesters are wonderful. An en
suite shower and
toilet with the charming in-
room washbasin make the Jester a sought after
room.
Up the steps to the right of the main staircase you enter a delightful little
suite under the eves. There is a new queen
bedroom (very W Hotel) as well as a
single bedroom, a small sitting area and a large, airy three-piece
bathroom with a
shower. Plenty of
room for three people, yet, the space is private and relaxing. Check out the knight and the lovely castles. add $35 for third person

Be reminded of old English sophistication in this lovely, large, front, queen-bedded
room in wine and gold colours with tapestry wallpaper. The four piece
en suite bathroom is enhanced by the large window matching the two windows in the
bedroom making this queen-bedded
room feel both grand and private with birds singing in the ivy just outside.
