It's is a wonderful place to come to either for your main holiday or just a short UK break. By car, bus, train or walking, the Danebury is perfectly situated. Introduction The Isle of Wight offers eveything you need from a romantic weekend break to a wonderful fun packed family holiday. We are family run guest house, extremely close to the beach and the many pubs and restaurants dotted around Sandown. We have off-road parking and as we are only yards from the town the Danebury is an ideal choice if you fancy a late night stroll along the beach or a drink in one of the many hostelries without worrying about finding parking or driving home. Sandown on the Isle of Wight is a firm favourite with families seeking a traditional UK beach holiday. A broad sweep of golden sand slopes gently into the sheltered waters of the bay and its level seafront promenade is an easy stroll from the town centre. Local attractions include the Tiger and Big Cat Sanctuary on the seafront and Dinosaur Isle, the first purpose-built dinosaur museum of its kind in the country. Many places of interest are just a short drive away, including Adgestone Vineyard, Amazon World, Isle of Wight Waxworks, Lilliput Doll Museum, Brading Roman Villa and local Manor houses. Sandown Airport and the beaches of Lake, Whitecliff Bay and Bembridge are all close by. Getting Around - Sandown has excellent bus, train and Dotto train services. The 'Sandown Bay Tour', operated by distinctive orange open-top buses, serves the main seafronts and attractions of Shanklin and Sandown, and the 'Island Explorer' bus services will take you either to Ryde or around the coast to Shanklin, Ventnor, Blackgang or Alum Bay. Seafront - Along the Esplanade and on the Pier you'll find restaurants and all-weather amusements. You'll find pitch and putt at Culver Parade, and windsurfing and sailing to the north, at Yaverland. Hire pedaloes and other fun craft at Esplanade beach and water sports tuition is available at Wight Water, between Sandown and Shanklin. An 8-day event comprising of competitive racing and great fun for both competitors and spectators alike. How to find us By Car: Head for Sandown High Street, drive up the High Street and take the first turning on the right (Nat West Bank on the corner) into Albert Road. Drive to the end of Albert Road and turn left into Victoria Road. We are half way up on the right. By Train: Take the train from Ryde Pier Head to Sandown. Exit the station and walk down Station Avenue, crossing over the Broadway. When you reach the end of Station Avenue, turn left into Albert Road. At the end of Albert Road, turn left again to Victoria Road. We are half way up on the right.
