The Swallowdale Inn has three ground floor
bedrooms easily accessible without climbing stairs. Each
room has an
en suite bathroom The Lakeside
Suite. Sleep the night away on the Lakeside

private, en suite bathroom. Travelling alone or with friends or family? The Flower

cable TV. In winter enjoy the stone fireplace in the great
room. In summer relax in the large Muskoka
screened-in porch or on the decks and lawns reaching to the Lake. Winters or summers enjoy fresh baked breads or muffins and a full country
breakfast overlooking the Lake.
The Swallowdale Inn was the brainchild of Oscar Fairman, who worked, played and painted with members of the Group of Seven from the 1920#x2019;s and whose own work was displayed in the National Gallery of Canada. Originally intended as a hunting lodge, the Inn is now run by his daughter for those seeking rest and relaxation in glorious surroundings. Thanks to Oscar#x2019;s artist#x2019;s eye, The Swallowdale Inn enjoys the premier waterfront location on beautiful Fairy Lake reveling in spectacular, salmon-pink sunsets. Located in the Swallowdale area of Huntsville it is next door to the PGA-quality
golf courses of Deerhurst and Clublink Grandview (two of many
golf destinations in the area.) The Inn is two hours from Toronto and thirty minutes from the Algonquin Provincial Park. The Swallowdale Inn is on the eastern end of Fairy Lake close to the historic steamer canal built at the start of the last century to link Huntsville with the summer cottage communities of Peninsula Lake and the portage to the Lake of Bays where celebrities like Al Capone vacationed. Today herons, turtles, beaver, deer, moose, ducks and small wildlife, including genetically unique trout and pike and large mouth bass, inhabit the area. The Swallowdale Inn sits on 12 acres of very private, wooded land and enjoys a hard sand beach making access to the water and enjoyment of the lake for building sandcastles, fishing, swimming, or simply splashing around easy for all age groups. Or simply relax in a Muskoka chair on the lawn or the dock and chat to friends old and new and watch the aquatic world go by.
