The town is situated at the confluence of the rivers Cocker and Derwent, providing pleasant riverside walks. There is an excellent and varied choice of
restaurants, cafs, public houses and
shops.

The Rook is a cosy seventeenth century townhouse, comfortably furnished with period
furniture. It has exposed beams and stonework and a stone spiral staircase leading to the
