All About Norcroft Penrith Guesthouse. Paul Lamb extends a warm invitation for you to come and stay at the Norcroft Guest House in Penrith. Built in the 1860s as the school master's house for the Girls National School, the house was expanded some 20 years later. In the 1920s it was converted into
4 flats and in the late 50s the house was split into the two houses (yes, we are a semi) that you now see. The Norcroft has been run as a guest house for 2530 years. We offer a high standard of accomodation, all en-
suite, in which to unwind after your journey. Our car park, which is at the rear of the house, can take up to 9 cars (although we have had 14 in!). Enjoy a relaxing
drink in our
lounge, before a short walk into Penrith itself to enjoy the excellent range of
pubs and
restaurants you will find there.
Norcroft Welcomes Cyclists to Penrith. Penrith is the first stop for those cyclists that are doing the Sustrans C2C route in three days. We have welcomed
parties of up to 22 cyclists (but book early!). In the event of damp weather (surely not in a British Summer!) we have a drying
room for your clothes. We have secure storage for your
bikes in our car park. Not on a C2C run? The North Lakes are a great base for those just wanting to explore the Lakes or the Pennines. If you really feel energetic, we have also had guests stay who are on the Lands End to John O'Groats run! Adventure Cycling - based here in Penrith can provide a complete cycling experience, either guided C2C adventures or you can enjoy the breathtaking
beauty of the lakes through the freedom of cycling. Adventure Cycling can provide all the equipment you require together with the services of a fully qualified guide to make sure you have an experience to remember. Click the link below to visit their website.
