It is just three blocks from the ocean on a quaint, cobblestone street just behind the majestic Cathedral de Guadalupe. Casa Amorita has a panoramic view of the fourth biggest natural bay in the world... and the Sierra Madre Mountains. Casa Amorita has the best view of the cathedral in all of Puerto Vallarta. Along the entire front of the property is a cobalt blue, venetian tile pool that goes right into the living room. There is a bar on the roof, a bar in the house, and a swim-up bar in the pool. There are ocean views from every room, skylights, sun decks, terraces, and if you are lucky you can see whales in the ocean when you are relaxing in your room. There is a garden with a bird sanctuary, a fountain, bamboo trees, and plenty of places to hide. Click Here To See More of the Beautiful Surroundings. Casa Amorita was designed by local architect, Alejandro Alberto Munoz Plancenia, and hand built by Mexican craftsmen. Decorated in a combination of Mexican, Moorish, Aztec, and Spanish styles accented with ceramics and hand painted tiles. All of the furniture was custom designed by the owner and handcrafted by artisans from Guadalajara. six bathrooms, two fireplaces, sun decks, a roof top terrace, a tropical garden with fountain, and a solarium. Each room has a private balcony, its own bathroom and an area for in-room dining. Plenty of Places to Hide. One of the Many Dining Areas. Enjoy a Delicious Breakfast Each Morning. Tropical Garden with Fountain. The best part about Casa Amorita is that is in Puerto Vallarta. The energy there is great. Sun all the time. Blue water everywhere. Mountains that tumble to the ocean. Church bells ringing, roosters crowing, and music in the air all the time. Not to mention an incredible ocean sunset every single night. After dark, you can enjoy fireworks launched nightly from an old pirate ship in the bay. But the real hook is the people of Vallarta. They are in the groove. Everything is easy go all the time. It only takes a few minutes to know you are in another world and what matters is feeling good and having a good time. Casa Amorita is located just a short walk to the many cafes and art galleries that give Puerto Vallarta the distinction of being referred to as the Mexican Riviera. The tiny cobblestoned town is intensely colorful with red tile roofs and flowers spilling over balconies and terraces. If you are in the mood for some excitement, you can power sail, ride horses in the jungle, go deep sea fishing, scuba dive, snorkel, go hot air balooning, mountain biking, or sail to one of the small Polynesian-style villages, which are only accessible by water. Day trips can include a sail to the Marieta Islands for snorkeling and diving, or whale watching from December to May. Another Quiet Place to Relax. If a more relaxing day is your choice, take a walk to the Island on the River Cuale and have lunch at your choice of restaurants or jazz clubs. After lunch, you can stroll to one of the area's countless beaches or shops and boutiques. Life is short...so come and hide out at Casa Amorita. Bring your friends and their friends. This was my second time staying at Casa Amorita. Rita maintains a perfect balance between being professional and being personable. Her staff are all pleasant as well. Casa Amorita cant be beat for location. You can walk anywhere from thereyou are steps from the Maleconas in its on the hill so you literally take steps down a couple blocks. You are nicely located between the gallaries and old towneverything is within walking distance! Plus, there isn't a better place in PV to watch the sunset than from Rita's rooftopand you can have Fernando mix you up a fabulous mango margarita to accompany the view! You can also hear the music and sounds of the squareyou are definitely in the hub of the action and yet in a nice, private oasis... Trip Advisor Member, April 28, 2007. We chose Casa Amorita which Rita Love, a friendly and energetic American, built ten years ago on a hill behind the Cathedral with a stunning view of Banderas Bay based upon Trip Advisor reviews. After having returned from a one week vacation there, we can attest to the positive buzz about the property. Our favorite activity was enjoying the killer views from a lovely rooftop patio sipping homemade margaritas made with El Jimador tequila from the honor bar. From initial email communication to checkout, we felt as if she treated us like family. When we arrived, Rita offered us complimentary drinks and spent 30 minutes to explaining all the nearby restaurants, sights, and excursions. Our room was spotless and delivered the amazing ocean and town views that were promised. The common areas were immaculately swept and the lovely pool was cleaned every day. The delicious breakfasts were different every day of our stay. Rita really enjoys wowing her guests with hearty breakfasts that vary from savory to sweet. Her team of young employees delivered stellar service better than some luxury hotels where we've stayed. Trip Advisor Member, March 25, 2007. This is my fourth time at Casa Amorita over a period of 9 years and it just gets better and better! The breakfasts are a sumptuous surprise every morning and there are no details overlooked, right down to freshly picked flowers arranged around each plate. As an artist, my senses are always filled at this wonderful place. I love the location of Casa Amorita for so many reasons... a 180 degree view of the Bay of Banderas, a sweeping view of Old Vallarta and its culture and close proximity to the activities and night life of the Malacon(a beautiful walkway along the waterfront). If you don't feel like going out some evening, you can sit on the rooftop lounge with a drink and listen to the music wafting up from the town square... your own private concert. Besides all these amenities, Rita, the owner, is always adding more to the plate. There is now a massage room and you can also make free phone calls to the USA. I give 2 thumbs up to Casa Amorita and will always be back for more. Trip Advisor Member, March 19, 2007
