The Jerez circuit is the venue for the first event on the world MotoGP racing calendar, one the most important in the motorcycle sporting world. Sevilles April Fair (April 8th - 13th) The April Fair is Seville’s main festival. Gypsy dresses, horses and Manzanilla sherry are the main ingredients of the fair, ablaze with paper lanterns where for a whole week, Seville parties to the sound of the Sevillana music. Jerez Feria de Caballo (April 27th - May 4th) The Gonzalez Hontoria Park provides the unbeatable setting for the Horse Fair where over two hundred casetas are set up and are open for all to enjoy, both Jerezanos and visitors alike. A spectacular Horse Parade takes place throughout the duration of the Fair, with hundreds of horsemen and women attired in the traditional short-jacketed suits, their companions wearing the even more characteristic gypsy dresses, ride around the streets of the Real. On the walls of Hotel Cortijo Soto Real, the Belgian photographer-painter Georges-Charles Vanrijk. Mr. Vanrijk is spellbound by the beauty and charm of Andalusia. His works of art can be enjoyed at Hotel Cortijo Soto Real. His grand photo-paintings come in 90 x 90 or 120 x 120 cm. In the original art piece the picture does not replace the drawing, but is an integral part of it, a fusion between photography and painting. This succesful mix was first tried in the 20th century by American artists and Georges-Charles Vanrijk. Mr. Vanrijk was able to inject emotion into the photographic image and the acrylic paint...
