Beautiful Camden Village Area Activities. Our Camden rental houses are located in the center of Camden, Maine village. It is just a short drive away from many central Maine activities and within walking distance of Camdens featured attractions. The harbor is just outside your door, with its fleet of windjammers and bustle of activity. Early risers wont want to miss the sun rising over Camden Harbor! Use this vacation activity list as your starting point to plan your Camden getaway. The links below will help you chart your exploration of central Maines many wonders. Scenic bicycling routes abound in and around Camden. We have mapped out various trips ranging from a 3-mile local Camden trip to 15, 20, 30, and 40-mile trips and more in the region. Other day trip attractions include Port Clyde, Pemaquid Point, Damariscotta, and Belfast. Lake Megunticook, located five minutes from town, offers great fresh-water fishing. Harbor Watch Cottage is situated on Atlantic Avenue (just down from the Camden public library), with panoramic views of Camden harbor from many of it's rooms. With four bedrooms, a sofa bed in the living room and two and a half bathrooms, the house can accommodate up to 10 people. The front garden, designed and cared for by Art Garden, has been featured in national magazines and a book on Maine gardens. The Cottage is surrounded by exterior decks. The bottom floor has a wide deck with patio furniture and a view out on the back yard and stream. The half circle deck on the upper level offers beautiful and the surrounding village. The windows that run along the side of the house offer terrific views of the harbor and the deck on this level runs the length of the house and looks out on the lower gardens and stream. The dining room is bright and open to the kitchen featuring an antique table and hutch. The Kitchen has picturesque views out on the harbor and overlooks the back and side gardens. Kitchen amenities include a gas range, microwave oven and dishwasher. The two stools at the end of the counter make an ideal spot for informal dining. consists of two bedrooms, one bathroom and a den. The master bedroom has a queen bed, several sizeable closets and a spacious and bright bathroom with a shower. The rear bedroom has two twin sized beds and a large desktop-work area. Camden Cottage is located steps away from the shops and restaurants in downtown Camden village. Across the street is the Camden Public Library and the beautiful Harbor Park. This is an ideal location for a relaxing family retreat in the heart of Camden village. panoramic views of Camden harbor from many of its rooms, this house can accommodate up to 10 people with five bedrooms and three bathrooms. The Master bedroom is located on the main floor with a queen bed and cable television. The spacious master bathroom has a tiled shower and marble vanity, along with a large walk in closet. The are on the second floor and share two bathrooms; one with a shower and the other with a tub/shower combination. Three of the bedrooms on the second floor have queen sized beds while the fourth room has two twin beds and cable television. The front of the house hosts two parlors with beautiful views overlooking the Library Park and Camden harbor. The is a great place to relax and read the morning newspaper, while the casual parlor (family room) has a cable television and VCR with plenty of seating.
