Gang Hanging At The Bar click the selection below of your choice to be taken to that selection. To our old guests and friends from the Road Kill Cafe and the Frog Rock, we're delighted to see you again...and what a long strange trip it's been. To those of you who are new to our version of North Woods Cuisine, sit back and enjoy yourself, but we do have a few ground rules for you to keep in mind: 1. Appropriate dress required, i.e. a shirt and shoes (for ladies, the shirt requirement can be waived). 2.Do not steal this menu. Extra menus are available from the bartender. 3. Our employees are working here while searching for a real job. We refuse to pay a living wage so don't make their lives any more miserable then they already are. 4. Bring in something interesting and it will go on the wall in perpetuity - if it's really good, we'll trade you something for it. 5. No food fights unless specifically authorized by your server. 6. We accept cash, Visa, cash, Master Card, cash, Discover, cash, and cash. 7. When dining in the Moosehead Lake Region, never ASSUME it's a raisin. So sit back, feel free to make a fool of yourself, and have a great time. Our bartenders have little experience and are working here while searching for a real career so don't expect them to know about some exotic drink served south of Skowhegan to underage girls with fake IDs who don't like the taste of liquor. If you can describe it, we'll give it our best shot... Canadian NachauxNot bad for being 3000 miles from Tijuana7.95. Scallops Wrapped in Bacon with real maple syrup8.95. View Of Moosehead Lake. Over Looking The Deck. Take a Ride on the Wing It. Available from Early June thru Fly-In Weekend. Moosehead Lake extends for 32 miles north of Greenville, and is scattered with hundreds of islands, quiet coves, broad bays, and mile upon mile of unspoiled shoreline. Enjoy the lake and all of its magnificence from the decks of a 48' cabin cruiser, complete with captain and crew and available for any excursion, gathering or event you choose. The Wing It is a 48', three deck cabin cruiser of classic lines and design. Made of wood, it was built by the Trojan Yacht Company in 1972 and brought to Moosehead in 1996. The boat features a flying bridge, a forward sun deck, a covered stern deck with BBQ grill, a main salon, full galley, two staterooms, and two baths. There is also a convenient swim platform with ladder off the stern. Drawing 3 1/2 feet of water, The Wing It can navigate most parts of Moosehead and can accommodate as many as 20 guests or as few as you desire. Weather permitting, we offer a late afternoon cocktail cruise every day departing the restaurant at 4:30 PM sharp. The cruise is for 1 1/2 hours on the southern end of Moosehead and includes free appetizers and a cash bar on board. We limit capacity to 16 guests so we suggest that you sign up by 3PM by calling 695-1100 or simply stopping by the restaurant. Based at East Cove in Greenville and operated by the Black Frog, full food and beverage service is available on board from hors d'oevres to full dinners such as lobster or filet mignon. Beverage service can be anything from soft drinks, beer and wine to your favorite liquors. You may plan your own route or let the captain choose for you. The location of local landmarks and a narrative about the lake are available from the crew as you cruise. Quiet coves are within several miles of Greenville where anchor can be dropped for a swim or moor for a cookout or dinner with the potential of a moose wading into the lake not far away and loons swimming nearby. The Wing It generally cruises at around 8 knots. You may choose to go out for lunch, for an afternoon swim, a cocktail cruise, an al fresco dinner in a quiet cove, or a sunset cruise watching the sky light up with purple colors as the sun sets on the western horizon, and then enjoy desert under the stars as we cruise home. Ideal for meetings, small weddings, social gatherings, or just a romantic and quiet evening on the lake, The Wing It can be chartered through The Black Frog on Pritham Avenue in Greenville. Call 695 1100 for more information. Charter rate: $ 145.00 per hour including captain and crew. 2 hour minimum. Passengers: We limit the number of guests to 20. Itinerary: Up to you or we will choose a route for you and suggest various destinations. Clothing: Whatever - The staterooms are available to change your clothes if you decide to swim. Please do not wear high heels. Smoking: Allowed on deck. Children: No children under 12 years of age. Food and beverage: You may bring your own or we will provide full food and beverage service. Boarding: The Wing It boards and unloads at the Black Frog in Greenville. Weather: Although we can handle virtually anything Moosehead can deliver, we suggest that outings during cold, rain or high winds be postponed until another day.
