Black Rock Activities combine 6 activities over a two day period, based in Cheddar, this has to be pre-booked in advance. Golf Club is situated approximately 4 miles from the Hotel, this
golf club is situated on the outskirts of Wedmore. The course features breath-taking panoramic views of the Mendip Hill, The Cheddar Valley famous for its Strawberries, and the tor at Glastonbury. Mendip Springs
Golf Club. Situated 5 miles north of the Hotel, this has a 9 hole pay and play. Also an 18 hole members
golf course. Walking. Well, what can be said? situated at the foot of the Mendip Hills, easy access to the West Mendip way, and giving stunning views across the Somerset Levels, Glastonbury and across the
channel, bring your walking boots. Fishing. There is an abundance of places to fish, within the local area, sea fishing at Berrow, Brean and Weston-Super-Mare, Coarse Fishing in an abundance of rivers, drains, and lakes and
game fishing at the internationally renowned Blagdon and Chew Valley Lakes.
The Hotel has been owned by the same family for some 25 years and retains its friendly and comfortable atmosphere. The
restaurant has character and charm, where we serve a home cooked full English
Breakfast. We do not do evening meals, but we do advanced
party bookings. The residents
lounge where you can relax and browse through information on local places of interest for your outings, also has a
television. All our
bedrooms, which are fully heated, are provided with
T.V. and
tea-making facilities. All
rooms are full en-
suite and are well appointed. Guests are welcome to enjoy the private and well tended
garden surrounding the heated outdoor
swimming pool. We have limited car-
parking, 1st come first served, but there is a Pay and Display opposite the hotel, which is free from 6pm - 8am.

suite. Double or twin occupancy. Payment by cash, cheque, debit card is accepted. Notes to the tariff. Reservations Deposits Reservations can be made by
telephone,
fax or e-mail, and all
rooms ore offered subject to availability on receipt of a NON REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT of £20.00 per person per night booked. Last minute reservations must be paid in full with a credit card. We cannot take MAESTRO as a guarantee for any booking. Chip and Pin must now be used. Cancellations If you have to cancel your booking the following charges will apply, More than 7 days notice - Deposit only 1-7 days notice - 50% of booked value 24hrs notice - 75% of booked value In your own interest we recommend that you obtain holiday insurance. Accounts We accept the following credit debit cards. Visa, MasterCard Delta, to pay for accommodation and other services prior to departure from the hotel. Personal cheques are also accepted when supported by the requisites cheque card limit.
Swimming Pool No children under the age of 15 years will be allowed to swim without constant supervision of at least one parent. The facilities are unmanned and used on the understanding that all warning notices and instructions are read by the users. We supply
Pool towels. General Notes We would like to advise guests that check in Is after 2pm, unless prior arrangements have been made, and on departure day no later than 10.30am. Please note that for the benefit of the majority of our guests we have a no smoking policy in the majority of our
bedrooms. NO TAKE-AWAYS permitted in hotel
bedrooms, Any permanent damage must be paid for. The front
desk closes at 10.00pm, If your arrival is going to be any later, then please
phone to arrange key collection.
Wookey Hole Cave and Papermaking. Enjoy the witch of Wookey, and making paper for yourself, what an experience. Wells. Enjoy a small city with a beautiful cathedral and Bishops Palace surrounded by a moat. Glastonbury. Enjoy walking up the tor, and experiencing going back in time. Street. This is the home of Clarks Shoes, and the new Clarks Village, a shoppers paradise. Longleat House and Safari Park. Approx. 1 hours drive away, but a fantastic day out for yourselves and the family, a full day.
Bath. Is just a beautiful city, a world heritage site, but do not forget the Romans
Baths an lots more, you can enjoy an open top

Bath, to see all the sights. There are also sea-side towns only a few miles away such as Weston-Super-Mare, Burnham on Sea, Brean and Berrow, just a little further down the coast, we have Minehead, Lynton and Lymouth.
