The Harbor Inn is located on scenic Ocean Avenue, which runs along the Kennebunk River in Kennebunkport, Maine. A town rich in shipbuilding tradition and filled with classic architecture, Kennebunkport has served as an inspiration for artists and writers. It is an easy walk for you to explore the many quality shops, fine restaurants and art galleries in Dock Square. In the morning sip an early cup of coffee in an old wicker rocker... Relax as you listen to the quiet purring of the fishing boats as they ease their way out of the harbor. Let the smell of the fresh, salty air fill you with pleasure under a blue sky. Breakfast is served in the Inn's lovely dining room with formal table setting. Enjoy the comfortable and relaxed seating as your hosts prepare a delicious variety of Homemade Muffins and Coffee Cakes. Seasonal Fresh Fruits are served as a prelude to hearty fare such as Quiche, Baked French Toast and scratch Blueberry Pancakes. You're welcome to visit the Inn's large gourmet kitchen. Here it is spring every day with its blue iris stained glass windows. Spreading a warm glow over the five foot cooking island is an antique bronze chandelier. The turn of the century wood stove set on a brick hearth adds the decorative touch of a bygone era.

Rates are based on double Occupancy and do not include Maine State lodging tax. Full breakfast and afternoon tea is included in rates. $35.00 charge for additional person Two night minimum stay for July and August weekends Guests are required to send full amount for one night reservation. For three or more nights, a two night deposit is required. Deposits must be received within seven days after the reservation is made or reservation will be canceled. Confirmation will be sent upon receipt of deposit. Rates do not include 7% State tax. We gladly except Personal checks, MasterCard or Visa. Should it become necessary to cancel your reservation, refunds of deposit will be made if cancellation is made at least fourteen days prior to scheduled arrival. If cancellation is made with less than fourteen days refund of deposit will be made if room is rented during reservation period. A $25.00 service charge is assessed on all cancellations. To ensure the comfort of all of our guest smoking is prohibited. Well mannered children over 12 years of age are welcome at our Inn. Arrival time is at 2:00 p.m. and check out is at 10:30-11:00 a.m. Directions to the Inn from Interstate 95, take exit 25. Follow signs to Rte. 35 and into Kennebunkport. At the Intersection of Rte. 9 Rte. 35 (at the Sunoco station) turn left. Go over the bridge and turn right onto Ocean Avenue and drive one-half mile. Look for our distinctive white wrought iron fence, an Ocean Avenue landmark.

From the moment you drive by the Victorian white iron fence you'll know that you are in a special place. Step onto the large, old fashioned porch. Colorful flowers and comfortable wicker furniture enhance this inviting setting. Enter the inn through a spacious double Dutch door... and sense the care and quiet elegance that await you. We have created an atmosphere that is warm and inviting. Decorated in a lighter Victorian style, the Inn is a blend of cherished antiques, porcelains, paintings and prints that lend a distinctly airy and elegant surrounding. In the evening many of the guests gather in Harbor Inn's fire-placed parlor with its comfortable seating. In the spring and fall enjoy the warmth and spirit as the fireplace crackles as you take pleasure from the sociability with other guests or retreat into a world all your own. The Harbor Inn was purchased by Kathy, Bob and Barry Jones in June of 1998. Already the owners of the Cove House, Kathy and Bob always loved the Harbor Inn for its wonderful front porch and gracious rooms. Barry took over the Cove House following college graduation as he became more active in the local fire departments achieving the rank of lieutenant and an EMT Intermediate. Kathy, a long time summer resident and year round resident since 1981 runs the Harbor Inn alone, as Bob died in June 2004. Bob was a 40 year Harvard University employee, 36 years on their police force. He finished his career as the senior Sergeant on the day shift.
