24 hours of the problem occurring and give us the opportunity to put things right we will not be held responsible for the problem. Thank you for your co-operation! Gumundur Jnasson Travel cannot accept responsibility for defaults or delays caused by contracting
parties. We reserve the right to change routes without prior notice should road, weather conditions or operational situations so dictate. Some
tours may also be operated in reverse. Gumundur Jnasson Travel cannot accept responsibility for arrangements other than those paid for in advance as part of a Gumundur Jnasson
Tour. Extra excursions taken during one of our
tours will be the responsibility of that individual operator. We strongly recommend that all travellers to Iceland have general travel insurance issued in their country of residence. This insurance should also cover all activities i.e. horse riding, white river rafting, mountain biking etc. which is part of their
tour. Your contract will be governed by Icelandic law and any disputes will be dealt with in the courts of Iceland.
JEEP ADVENTURES ALTERNATIVE WAY TO TRAVEL THROUGH ICELAND We know that not everyone wants to travel in a group or that they may have special interests and areas that they wish to visit. Some areas of Iceland can only be reached by specially equipped vehicles. We are pleased to offer individual itineraries using Icelandic Super Jeeps - 4WD vehicles that are equipped with
satellite navigation and special tyres but, most importantly, with experienced driver/guides. Whether you plan a one day excursion from Reykjavik or a full 10-day
tour, your needs can be catered for. The standard Super Jeep can carry up to six passengers with no baggage or four passengers with baggage on longer
trips. We also offer Econoline 4WDs with up to 14 seats. Trailers are also available for camping-based
trips and tents can be hired. WHAT MAKES AN ICELAND JEEPSUPER They are specially modified for the Icelandic terrain. You take a basic 4WD like a Nissan Patrol or Toyota Landcruiser, lift the suspension and add extra-size tyres - 44 or 38 with studs as an option. In the cab fit
radios, GPS (
satellite navigation system), compressors to re-inflate tyres to suit the terrain and, as optional extras, winch, extra lights or
video maps, air suspension and crawler gear. These jeeps have crossed the Greenland Icecap and travelled through Africa and South America. They are available for individuals, small groups,
TV and film crews and expeditions. Your adventure in Iceland is guaranteed. WINTER During the winter months a crossing of the interior is possible but it may be necessary to travel with two or three jeeps for
safety. One of the most popular winter day excursions is a visit to the glacial valley of rsmrk and the Southern Highlands. SPRING AND AUTUMN A visit to the ice caves at Hrafntinnusker and Landmannalaugar is possible or, for a taste of real adventure, a crossing of the Vatnajkull Icecap (minimum 2 jeeps) or you can combine a one-day excursion from Reykjavik with a skidoo ride on the glacier. This is also available in the summer. SUMMER A variety of
tours are offered from Reykjavk in summer, visiting glacial areas, rsmrk and Snfellsnes peninsula as well as travelling in the Highland Interior. The ideal duration of these
tours are two or three days, longer
trips are also available. Crossing rivers is no problem for these vehicles, which can also be used as a back-up for walkers, carrying all food and equipment, leaving you just a day bag to carry. The classic walk from Landmannalaugar to Thorsmrk can be done in three days using Super Jeeps to carry gear and tired walkers if necessary. Let the Mountaineers of Iceland whisk you past weathered moors, waterfalls, volcanoes and mountains en route to a glittering glacier. OPTIONAL ACTIVITIES THAT CAN BE INCLUDED IN YOUR JEEP ADVENTURE: ¤ SNOWMOBILING ¤ RIVER RAFTING ¤ STEEL WIRE GLIDING ¤ SELF DRIVING ¤ WALKING ¤ HORSE RIDING ¤ MOUNTAINEERING ¤ KAYAKING. Jeep adventure is for every- body who wants to go places not everybody can go!

Volcanic and geothermic activity is an open text book for the geologist and with 12% of Iceland covered by ice caps, the adventurous are presented with all year round snow sport possibilities including skidooing, ice climbing and
skiing. Iceland is also the photographers paradise, with ever changing landscapes, billowing cloudscapes and continuously changing light. Our multi-adventure and natural history
tours for groups provide wide choices and will be tailor-made to suit your groups needs. Or perhaps you just want to play
golf, teeing off under the light of the midnight sun...
