This is the lounge upstairs which has comfortable leather sofas and a new flatscreen digital TV. The decor is modern and finished with good attention to detail. The house contains an astonishing 6 TV's and 2 hi fis, a video and DVD player, together with a video and CD library, so if the attractions of York situated on your doorstep are not enough you can always relax at home. This lounge has a new flatscreen digital TV with Freeview, a video DVD player hi-fi together with a selection of CDs, Videos DVDs. The nest of tables means you can always find somewhere to put your drink! This room has the largest TV together with the DVD and video. This provides a quiet place to relax away from the socialising, or can work well as somewhere for the children to go if they get bored with your conversations. You can step straight out onto a sunny balcony overlooking the rear patio and the Bishops Gate development. Both the balcony and rear patio are on the quieter side of the house and have garden furniture so you can relax and enjoy the fresh air and sunshine, whilst still being right in the centre of this fascinating historic city. Baille Hill House has been a popular self catering holiday house in York city centre for many years. If you have been before you will know the high standards of finish and the style. If you are staying in and cooking, the kitchen is well equipped with a dishwasher, fridge/freezer, microwave, double oven and hob as well as the kettle, toaster, and coffee maker. There is a washer/drier too. Self catering holidays are often sociable and a chance to relax. The open plan kitchen and dining area encourage this. The dining area is conveniently next to the kitchen and overlooks the sunny patio area through the double doors. This provides a natural gathering point, especially for the adults amongst you.
