Amenities Dawn's Creole restaurant serves a Complimentary (Continental) or full American breakfast from 8.00 am on. At the Reception Bar we are at your service from 9:00 until 12 noon for telephone calls or any information, for excursions, taxi or rentals, exchanging US currency, bar service: drinks and take away (spring water sandwiches). From 11:30 on the Beach Cafe opens for coffee, cake, lunch, sandwiches and drinks; on Sundays beach party. 5:30pm the restaurant reopens for bar service and dinner starts at 7:30. Further Amenities: All rooms have balcony and sea view, queens bed or full size bed and a twin bed, mosquito net, hot shower, radio clock, kettle and complimentary tea. Hair dryers, wake up service, laundry and ironing service are available. Snorkel gear and Beach towels are provided (for a small cleaning fee).
The beach and village of LOWER BAY invites you to the waterside, between fishing and rowing boats, for swimming, sunbathing and snorkeling at the rocky ends of the beach. Beach mats, snorkel gear, ocean kayaks and games are available at our Beach Cafe, where you meet visitors and locals for coffee, snacks, lunch and cold drinks or your favorite punch at sundown. To walk around in Lower Bay: there is a mini market; there are other restaurants, with entertainment some nights, rental villas and many local homes and gardens. PORT ELIZABETH, Bequia's harbour and main town is reached by land or water taxi or in 30 minutes by foot. There you find shops, boutiques, market, Post Office, the ferryboat dock, waterfront hotel/restaurants with tennis and scuba diving facilities and some nights Jump Up (dance). Roads leading to the windward side and its beaches and palm groves, to Friendship Bay and the settlements on the South side and to the airport. Most of the scenic, 7 square mile island can be reached by taxi or by foot. Public transport by minibuses exists on the main road; car and bike rentals are also available. We arrange for you tennis, water skiing, boat excursions and fishing trips; day tours to neighboring islands, Mustique, nature park Tobago Cays or excursion on St. Vincent, as well as cruising the Grenadines for three days or longer. Bequia (pronounced 'Beckwee'), 5000 inhabitants, is the biggest Grenadine island, part of the island state St.. Vincent and the Grenadines. The language is English, currency is the Eastern Caribbean Dollar, connected to the US$, electricity is 220 volts, 50 cycles AC. Though most tourists visiting in the High Season from December to April, there are no long periods of rain in the Low Season and weather conditions are good from May to August and most of the time from September to November.
