A Santa Fe Bed and Breakfast. Arrington's Inn Traveler - Book of Lists. Voted Best Breakfast in the Southwest 2005. Show Me Room Availability. Request A Reservation. Visit this Santa Fe Bed and Breakfast and you will find yourself on the property of one of the oldest local families of Santa Fe. You will find that our food is prepared using the same recipes and techniques that we learned from our parents, grandparents and other family members and friends who were native New Mexicans. You will see that wood, tin and copper hold a special place in our hearts. As far as we are concerned, Mom's father, Grandpa Sanchez was one of the greatest carpenters who ever walked on this earth. Thus, all of our beds are handmade works of one of the owners or one of our friends. Tin and/or copper hand tooled sconces, light fixtures or furniture are also in evidence. These being the contributions of one of the other owners, his son and one of our cousins. Our Grandpa Quintana was a jeweler in his younger years and later the owner of a grocery store that was housed right on this property. Our Father, Pete (Pedro) learned jewelry-making and later concentrated most of his artistic talents working on stamped tin. Join us on one of your visits and we will happily share pictures and excerpts from books where our Dad was featured as one of Santa Fe's native artists. We are located in the oldest district of Santa Fe, the historic Guadalupe District. Just a stone's throw from the historic Santuario de Guadalupe, one of the oldest churches in Santa Fe. Agua Fria, the street on which we are located, was once the famous Camino Real, an ancient route connecting northern New Mexico to Mexico. Your visit to Santa Fe would not be complete if you did not take the time to visit our historic downtown plaza... a nice six-block stroll from our bed and breakfast. If you are looking for a four-star establishment with waiters, bellhops, room service and a hefty price tag, we are not for you. What we have to offer is a truly Santa Fe experience in the only Santa Fe Bed and Breakfast that is owned and operated by a native Santa Fe family. Owned and operated by three members of the Pedro and Concha Quintana family, the Inn was built on the site of their grandfather's store on Agua Fria Street, a stone's throw from the historic Santuario de Guadalupe, one of the oldest churches in Santa Fe. Agua Fria itself was once the famous Camino Real, an ancient route connecting northern New Mexico to Mexico, traversed for centuries by Indian and then Hispanic traders. The Inn was built in a manner that pays tribute to the classic Spanish architecture of historic Santa Fe. Careful thought has gone into the use of every inch of space throughout the grounds. A tour of The Guadalupe Inn provides a sense of yesteryear with eye-catching details from the balconies and garden paths.
