In addition, the Inn Spa has spacious and gracious meeting rooms and facilities for special events and occasions of all kinds. In addition we offer massages, healthy outdoor exercise, nutritious food to meet individual needs, and a natural environment of healing. Massage; We have a number of massage practioners who practice a wide variety of approaches. We can help you decide which style you need. Reservations for massage are made at the front desk and need to be made in advance. Meals; Our kitchen staff will work with you to see that your nutritional needs are met. We can help you plan walks and adventures in nature. We work with the local Health Mines to plan your visits to the caves, come;home;, and soak and then have a healing massage. We are in the process of developing an international healing center at Boulder Hot Springs Inn and Spa. We will be bringing talented approaches to healing and healers from throughout the world to offer workshops and healing weeks at Boulder Hot Springs Inn and Spa. We often have Native American Medicine People who offer sweat lodges and Indian medicine also. We also have planned self-directed day-trip vacations available.

The outdoor swimming pool is a graduated depth pool with a floating line dividing the shallower from the deeper end. The deck surrounding the pool has chairs and tables for relaxing. A heated sidewalk connects the pool and the bath house. The cool crisp evenings in Montana and the contrast of falling snow and hot mineral water make the outdoor pool a popular and fun-filled place to hang out, do your laps, have a romantic evening, or just have fun with the family. The swimming pool uses the geothermal mineral water from our springs cooled by our natural well water. The water temperature is maintained at approximately 96F degrees. We use no harsh chlorine in our swimming pool and, instead, add a less harmful agent of bromine to keep the pool pure and fresh. Bathing suits and showers are required before entering the outdoor pool. There is no lifeguard and children under age 12 must be accompanied by an adult. The pool is handicap-accessible with assistance. Pool hours vary from winter to summer, and can be confirmed by calling Boulder Hot Springs Inn and Spa at (406) 225-4339. A pass to the pool also includes the use of the dressing room and the inside plunges and steam rooms.

Our greatest attraction has always been our mineral-laden, geothermal waters coming from deep in the earth that range from 140 to 175F degrees. Many people come to this valley to combine sitting in the healing radon caves and soaking in these healing waters. The combination is very powerful. The hot geothermal mineral water is piped into our indoor plunges where it is mixed with natural cool water and maintained at a temperature of between 103-106F. The women;s plunge has a hot pool maintained between 103-106F and a cool pool which is usually under 70F. The men;s side has a hot pool maintained at 103-106F and no cold pool. Both hot pools are;continuous flow;, completely changing the water in the plunges every four hours. In addition, the plunges are drained and cleaned every night. You will find our plunges to be some of the cleanest and most natural (no harsh chemicals added!) you will ever experience. Both mens and womens sides of the bath house have dressing rooms, toilets, places to rest, and steam rooms. The steam rooms are heated by natural mineral geothermal water running through perforated pipes, so the steam baths are natural mineral steam which is very healing and healthy. Bathing suits are optional in the indoor plunges. Showering before entering is required for the plunges and steam rooms.

Boulder Hot Springs Inn and Spa has historically been a place of retreat, sanctuary, peace and healing. We are dedicated to supporting and perpetuating that important tradition. We honor all people and all spiritual approaches here as well as all animals, the earth and all of creation. We especially honor the children who are the future and the elders who are the repositories of the wisdom of our ancestors and those who have gone before. We realize that not everyone wants to be in a healthy smoke-free, alcohol-free, and drug-free environment. We realize that not everyone shares the values of a healthy environment for body, mind and spirit. We respect your decisions and Boulder Hot Springs Inn and Spa may not be the place for you. And, we also know that there are many who are seeking just such a place. For those of you who share our philosophy and dreams, here we are! Because of these beliefs and commitments, we ascribe to the philosophy of being a;green hotel.; Being a green hotel means that we make every attempt to conserve and recycle by living with the planet instead of destroying it or using it up. The philosophy practiced here is in keeping with very ancient traditions and the;latest; discoveries in quantum physics and chaos theory (although sometimes we seem better at chaos!). We try to have and live an open system approach in all that we do. This means that we welcome feedback and change and assume as we have more participation and information, we will all fare better in this place and on this planet. Therefore, we hope to create a place of retreat, rejuvenation and healing where all will feel that they have come home, and can come home to themselves. We have been in the process of restoring this magnificent old building which has been so close to the hearts of so many native Montanans and visitors.; We have completely remodeled the heating system to take advantage of the geothermal waters so plentiful here.; We have had natural-fiber wool carpets especially designed in the native colors and hues of the natural landscape surrounding the inn.; We have lobbied with other hot springs in the state to get laws modified so that we do not have to add harmful chemicals to our plunges, so you get only the minerals nature intended.; Our 103-106F degree pools have a constant flow-through that completely changes the water in the plunges every four hours, thus ensuring the highest levels of pure thermal water.; Our plunges are also completely drained and cleaned every night. We have always far exceeded the health codes for cleanliness.; Our swimming pool uses the less toxic bromine to meet state standards.; Our Bed Breakfast rooms and suites present our guests with only the best high-thread-count natural fibers in our sheets, towels and spa robes.; Our rooms are smoke-free and technology free, so your stay will not be interrupted or disturbed. As we have come to know and gradually restored this building, we have recognized that;we cannot heal and restore the people and the building without restoring the land, and that we cannot restore the land without healing the people and the building.; Clearly, all these processes work together and go hand-in-hand. This learning has resulted in our launching a program to restore the natural wetlands in front of the Inn Spa. These wetlands were artificially drained to provide more pasture and we have made a commitment to restore the natural habitat for wetland birds and animals. Already the birds and animals; foxes, coyotes, deer, sandhill cranes, ducks, elk, bears, moose, antelope and beavers; have realized that this land is a sanctuary for them, just like it is for human beings. Boulder Hot Springs Inn and Spa is a recipient of the prestigious Eco-Star Award, given for our efforts in recycling and conservation. We strive to encourage, promote and support ecological consciousness with all with whom we come in contact. We have an extensive recycling program and guests are invited to participate when staying here. These things taken together define the philosophy of Boulder Hot Springs Inn, and we believe that here, you will find a place of peace like no other in the world. Honoring, Conserving, Recycling, Healing... This is Your Place in the Sun!
