The Ayden Apartment The Ayden Apartment is a lovely self-catering apartment near the thriving waterfront and Shore area of Leith, Edinburgh. The flat is on the second-floor of a Victorian building and is similar in style to The Ayden Guest House. It has a comfortable double bedroom, separate shower-room and fully equipped kitchen/living-room with large comfortable double sofa-bed. All towels, bed-linen, soaps and shampoo are supplied. We can arrange a welcome food hamper for your arrival - for a hamper quote just let us know what size and contents you prefer. You will also receive a complimentary bottle of red or white wine - the choice is yours! The flat is no smoking throughout. The waterfront and Shore area of Leith are bustling with restaurants, bars and bistros. Whether it's traditional seafood or the best of new Scottish cuisine in an award winning restaurant (there are two Michelin star restaurants within a 3 minute walk!), Leith caters for it all. Full of cultural influence and historical architecture, yet calm with waterfront serenity. The flat is about a 25 minute walk and a 10 minute bus ride from the heart of the city - the number 22 bus leaves every 4 minutes from directly outside the flat (5 minutes on a Sunday and every 10 minutes from midnight until 5.30am). There is a supermarket within a 5 minute walk and also free on-street parking. The airport is about 7 miles from the Centre of Edinburgh. Ayden Apartment Tariff We usually operate a 3 night minimum stay and prices vary depending on time of year and length of stay. Please enquire for an exact cost but based on 2 adults sharing, the price will range from £70 to £100 per night. Single occupation is negotiable at less. Payment You may pay in cash or by cheque but we cannot accept credit or debit payment for the apartment. We require payment in full on arrival. Apartment Cancellation Policy. Cancellations made within the 14 days prior to arrival - half the total stay payable. Cancellations made within the 7 days prior to arrival - the total booking cost payable (when the booking is for more than one night). All cancellations must be made in writing and acknowledged by us. If we manage to fill the availability, we will endeavour to reduce your costs as much as possible.

The wonderful bay window allows the room to flood with light creating a relaxed and comfortable environment where you can enjoy your breakfast and read the papers to the sound of classical music. Innes has worked as a chef in many restaurants throughout Edinburgh for 18 years. Our breakfast menu will change with the seasons but will always offer something a little different along side the favourite Full Scottish Breakfast! Selection of Cereals: Cornflakes, Krispies etc Fruit Juice: Orange, Grapefruit etc. Scots Breakfast: Grilled smoked bacon, sausage, mushrooms, tomato, potato scone and choice of eggs (poached, scrambled or fried). Scots Vegetarian Breakfast: Smoked soya bacon, vegetarian sausage, mushrooms, tomato, potato scone and choice of eggs (poached, scrambled or fried). Auld Reekie Eye-Opener: Layered black pudding, haggis and potato scone with roasted tomato, drizzled with chilli oil (for those who need a kick-start to their day!). Eggs Benedict: Toasted muffin with cured ham and lightly poached eggs topped off with a rich hollandaise sauce. Scrambled Eggs and Loch Fyne Smoked Salmon: Buttery eggs combined with the best of Scots salmon. Fresh Fruit and Honeyed Yoghurt: Seasonal fresh fruit with summer berries, natural yoghurt topped with honey and served with a warm butter croissant. Pink Grapefruit: Grilled pink grapefruit topped with caramelised brown sugar. Traditional Scots Porridge: plain or with honey or brown sugar. Teas: Tea, Earl Grey, Herbal or Fruit Teas, Decaffeinated Tea. Coffee: Douwe Egberts fresh ground, fresh ground decaffeinated, instant, instant decaffeinated. Hot Milk if required. Excellent Rooms Calm and spacious Crisp linen Fresh, soft, white towels The Ayden is set in a handsome Victorian terrace and has a sunny and bright ambience. Within the 19th century exterior you will discover contemporary interior design that features calm but warm colours and wonderful textures. A carved wooden staircase takes you to the first of three floors and our five lovely bedrooms. The Ayden Guest House accommodates friends, couples or families. Two double-bedded rooms with en suite shower and toilet. One double room with private facilities. One family room (1 double and 3 single beds which can comfortably sleep 6) with en suite facilities. One family room (1 double and 1 single bed) with en suite facilities. We are proud of our high standards of housekeeping and sense of style. Most of our rooms have benefited recently from refurbishment. Television and tea and coffee making facilities. Fully centrally heated with temperature control in each room. Ayden Guest House As we are handy for the centre of Edinburgh we are easy to reach by bus or taxi from the main bus and train stations. And if you are not too laden with luggage you can even walk from town. Car There is free on-street parking on Pilrig Street. Usually there is no trouble finding space to leave your car. Although it is extremely safe to park your car in Pilrig Street don't tempt fate, bring any valuables and all your luggage in with you - just in case! Buses and taxis St Andrews Bus Station is situated on St Andrews Square at the east end of Princes Street and George Street. To walk from the bus station will take about 15-20 minutes. From South St David's Street (where Jenners department store is), you can catch a number 11 bus directly to Pilrig Street, the bus stops at our door. Alternatively, you can take a taxi. This will cost between £4 and £5. Prices vary depending on the number of people in your party, length of stay and method of payment. They also vary according to season. So please email us or call to discuss how we can accommodate you. Prices are on a per person per night basis and include breakfast and taxes.
