You can come to Thassos by boat from the port of Kavala. There are direct flights to Kavala or via Thessaloniki (in this case the trip can be continued either by coach or taxi). Finally, there are transit flights from Athens to Kavala. There are direct flights to Kavala from many destinations in Europe. From the airport of Kavala (Chrysoupoli) you can reach the port of Keramoti by taxi (10 kms). From there, there are regular ferry boat connections to the island of Thassos (it takes about 40 min for the journey). All ferryboat arrivals to Thassos correspond with the local coach service (K.T.E.L) to Poto (40 kms). The journey takes about 45 min. You can also get a Taxi fare from Thassos to Potos, which will cost you roughly 20. Flight to Thessaloniki and from there on to Kavala, either by coach or taxi. A) Coaches depart every hour from the Kavala coach station (194 Giannitson str in Thessaloniki, tel. +302310595422) and arrive in 2 ½ hours in Kavala (fares costs about 36). B) Taxi fares to Kavala cost around 80 (the price should be agreed on with the taxi driver in advance). In Kavala you can take the ferryboat to Prinos/Thassos, from the port, which is located exactly next to the coach station. There are ferryboat connections to the island every hour and the journey takes about 1 hour. Once on the island, the trip can be continued as above. Potos - Theologos course (1/2 h). Taxi fares to Prinos - Potos cost around 15. You can catch a transit flight to Kavala. Once in the airport of Kavala, the trip is continued as in Flight up to Kavala. Additionally, you can use are Flying Dolphins by which you can directly from Kavala to Potos (The trip lasts 1 h). For further travelling information you can be informed by ADAC, eg sea trip from Italy to Greece, etc.

In Thassos the most northern and greenest island of the Aegean, away from artificial paradise spots, we rent twelve bungalows, located at the end of Potos. The housing estate is situated near the shore. The holiday home Lysistrata, with its 12 houses, is directly on the sea front and have their own private access to the beach. The bungalows are situated in a green oasis of olive trees and flowers, where one can relax and enjoy. Our bungalows provide: autonomous air-conditioned buildings with traditional style tile roofs, shower with hot water, TV and a fully equipped kitchen and a separate patio for each house. In the garden of the estate there is a bar, where one can enjoy ones coffee or refreshing drink with a view to the sea. There is also a car park, located behind the complex. The island owes its unique climate (cool summer and soft winter) to the lush vegetation and Ipsario, the highest mountain in Thassos. The mountainous villages have maintained some traditional Hellenic features, while archaeological excavations that take place at the island continuously bring to light important findings. People in Thassos have remained uninfluenced by the contemporary mass tourism and offer true hospitality. The beaches are clean and there is plenty of seafood to enjoy.
