Cancellation times/ Common Terms of Business. With your booking and /or confirmation you enter into a contract both sides have to fulfill. At last minute bookings the telephone ordering or e-mail ordering is guilty either. If you do not arrive or cancel within the fixed periods of time you are obligated to pay the price negotiable as follows: within 15 and 21 days of your arrival 50% of the service ordered within the last 14 days of your arrival 80% of the service ordered. Cancellations have to be done by letter and will be confirmed by us. The guesthouse tries to offer rooms cancelled.In this case you do not have to pay. The guesthouse is not responsible for services done by third party. We confirm the room category ordered but are not bound to room numbers. The rooms ordered are available on arrival day from 3 p.m. and on departure day by 10 a.m. The payments can be made by transfer in advance, ec-card in the hotel, by credit card plus extra fee or cash. The hotel is authorized to collect the money at your arrival. The local health resort tax is not included in the price and can be paid in the guesthouse. At your wish we send you an application form for a travel reinsurance.

The place of Sellin was mentioned in 1225 first.Also in the past Sellin was popular as a family bath and seaside resort.By building of a broad alley with promenade paths to the beach-the today’s Wilhelmstrasse street-the heyday of Sellin started as Pearl of the Baltic Sea. In 1908 Wilhelm Richert,a descendant of an old farmer’s family,decided to build a guesthouse with panorama view over the pier of the steamships and the Baltic Sea.The Seeschlosswas built with 34 rooms with verandas. In the 1930s Mr.Kurt Rampe bought the Seeschloss.He carries out extensive reconstructions.The Seeschloss was used as a guesthouse furthermore. From guests being our today’s regular guests we have got to know that the Seeschlosswas used as home for children in the years 1943 to 1945.Children for instance from Stettin lived in this house without their parents and a future. Unfortunately we have only particial information about the use of the house between 1945 to 1953.After the war expellees from the former German eastern territories should have found a temporary home in the Seeschloss. By the so called Aktion Rose many hotel and guesthouse owners were expropriated in Sellin in 1953. The former owners of the house Seeschloss, the Chranowski family,fled to western Germany in 1954. The house Seeschlosswas taken over by the FDGB (The GDR’s trade union) and it was used as a guesthouse for workers and clerks organised in the union.The FDGB carried out extensive reconstructions and redevelopments. After the German uniting the house was given back to the former owner Mrs.Chranowski in 1990.This lady left the house to her daughter Mrs. Baumgarten. Despite the bureaucratic circumstances caused by the German uniting Mrs.Baumgarten rented the house as a guesthouse to Mrs.Annemarie Brombach always for a year. In 1999 Mrs.Baumgarten sold the house to her daughter Mrs.Kathrin Brombach. Extensive reconstructions were carried out and new acquisitions were done.Many projects and changes have been planned-it is a lifework for every generation.

White sand, wide broad beaches and water quality regularly checked present you the prerequisites for a joyful bath. Long distance walks across the steep coast and the seaside resorts of Baabe and Gohren are relaxing impressions and experiences at any time. In front of our house the footpaths and cyclepaths, stretching along the countryside around Sellin, through the Granitz wood to Binz, around the Sellin lake along the idyllic parts of Moritzdorf and Seedorf and to the nice Monchgut peninsula, start. The constant companions wind, sun, sea, salty and iodine containing air and the wood form a special unity and have a refreshing effect on your mind, soul and body. The Isle of Rugen is famous for her above average annual sunny days.This landscape calls on you to take an active part by its variety especially in Spring and Autumn. Via A11 to Stralsund on A20 – on A20 to exit Stralsund/Insel Rugen- motorway ca.19 km to Stralsund – to Insel Rugen- cross bridge Rugendamm (opening hours down) – then on street B96 to Bergen – shortly before Bergen turn right onto street B196 to Gohren- pass Karow and Serams to Sellin – in Sellin take 1. Between April and November there is another possibility.On A20 you can use exit Glewitzer Fahre and use the car ferry from Stahlbrode to Glewitz on Rugen from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. The crossing is 20 minutes and liable to pay.After the crossing you are on Deutsche Alleenstrasse and go to Sellin via Garz, Putbus and Vilmnitz direction Gohren. Opening hours for bridge Rugendamm. (Rugendamm bridge opens for ships for 20 minutes 05.20 - 05.40 a.m. / 09.15 - 09.35 a.m. / 17.20 - 17.40 p.m. / 21.20 - 21.40 p.m.
