A pergola with rose bougainvilleas offers its pleasant shade in hot days of summer.;The Dragon House; is furnished with elegant, antique furniture. This guesthouse has a romantic fireplace, a double bed, a kitchen and a bathroom. Welcome to The House of the Artist-Painter. Carlo Forte, the Artist-Painter was born in Italy. In his early childhood, he already demonstrated an exceptional ability and interest in drawing and painting. However he first passed through all kinds of required stages conditioned by society, graduating as a Doctor in Political and Social Sciences. Working as an economist in public corporations, in privat companies and having a governmental career made him aware of the need of a radical change. With his experiences of his studies of art in Milan, he travelled later in 1976 to Tenerife, fell in love with the beauty of the island and never left it. His artistic vocation dominated any other practical consideration and his heart opened unreservedly to follow the way of his predestination as an artist. In the first few years, he dedicated himself completely with strict self-discipline to the drawing and painting of portraits and landscapes in a figurative precise style. This way of painting was very much appreciated by the tourist public in the south of the island. Years of spiritual restlessness guided him later to India, Oregon, South America, #x2026; and this created the possibility of transmitting what his eyes had captured. When he returned to Tenerife, his style of painting had changed. The colours gathered during his travelling; colours of Africa, India and especially the light of the islands of the south of Italy from his origin; started to flow out from his soul and his brushes. The Landscapes of the Spirit filled his canvases with joy and intensity. This inspired style of painting Carlo called intuitive, which is far from concrete or intellectual forms, #x2026;it is simply something that happens out of a silent space of meditation, that arises rather out of the heart than out of the mind. In 1983, the building-constructions (especially on the south coast of Tenerife) profoundly changed the landscape and the energy that Carlo loved so much. He decided to move further inshore on the island to continue to live in silence and unspoiled nature. He came across ruins of a beautiful building from the XVIIIth century and dedicated himself to restoring it. This decision was the start of a huge organic expression of inspired, sensible Art. Stone by stone, flower by flower, tree by tree were planted in a perfect harmony, as in a musical composition, where the notes flow into eachother in a natural way and create an artistic masterpiece. Meanwhile, Carlo never dropped painting and in addition he also started to give courses in intuitive painting and meditation. The pupils, who came from all over Europe to learn to develop their own creativity, needed a place to stay and, out of that necessity, The House of the Artist-Painter was transformed into a rural complex with 4 independent cottages surrounded by magnificent gardens with local plants, fruit-trees, vineyards and an organic vegetable garden. In 2004, communication unfolded out of the space of the soul between Carlo and Ingrid. Ingrid Janssens is originally from Belgium. During an existential crisis in 1991, circumstances of life brought her into contact with dolphins in the United States. From then on, she felt the indescribable sensation of being called by the dolphins and started to travel around the world, where whales, orcas and dolphins guided her in the oceans of Egypt, Israel, Bimini, Canada, Alaska, Hawaii, Costa Rica, #x2026; and the Canarian Islands. These encounters changed her sense perception, her sensibilities of life and influenced her choices of studies and work. The non-profit organization Dolphin Human Wellness was born in Belgium, like a child which grew out of the pregnancy of all these experiences. The main activities of this company were: Craneo-Sacral, Aqua-Wellness, Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) and travels with little groups of children and adults to swim with dolphins and whales. The mission unfolded as a way of contributing to the communication with nature, increasing contact with cosmic consciousness and integrating more awareness into daily life. Listening continuously to heart-signals, to soul-signals, Ingrid left Belgium in 2004 to go and live with Carlo, to collaborate in his project and to share it with people who choose to spend their holidays in this paradise filled with Art, colours, light and pure sounds. Today it is a pleasure for us to welcome guests of all nationalities and to offer them an environment of privacy, embraced by nature, where they can relax in different ways: going on country-walks, bathing in the crystal-clear water of the Atlantic Ocean, reading books from our library, taking part in optional sessions such as Intuitive Painting, Chromo-puncture, Rebirthing, Holistic Massage, Craneo-Sacral (CS), Dolphin-Healing (combination of CS, NLP, massage and dolphin sounds), #x2026;..or simply lazing in lounge-chairs and enjoying Nature#x2019;s displays of birds, flowers, trees, #x2026;. An unusual pentagonal cottage of stone and wood is situated at the centre of this rural ecological setting : The Studio of the Painter, where you can participate in creative and meditative activities. It is possible to paint and to receive sessions of Intuitive Painting. The aim is not the teaching of techniques, but rather assisting you to discover your unique inner creativity, and from there out to play, to enjoy and to surprise yourself. Colours, when used to express on canvas, can have a significant therapeutic effect.
