There is a short liking path to Spike Bridge, which allows for crossing to the Coillte wood on the north side of the River. The Top walk is particularly magnificent in April as Large drifts of bluebell carpet the woodland floor. The relative warm waters of the Celtic and South Irish Seas sustain a rich and varied fish population in both inshore and offshore waters, providing good sport for both the shore, small boats and deep-sea angling. During July and August Sea-Trout arrive in reasonable numbers to many of the smaller rivers in the area, the best being the river Bride, Cooligan, Corock, Bridgetown, Boro, Urrin and our own Owenavorragh River in Courtown. Sea Trout in some of these rivers can be up to 1Kg in weight. Contact: Gorey Tourist
