In recent years many of these walks have been restored to there natural beauty. The River Walk is easily accessed from both the Picnic area and the Car Park in Courtown Village. The top walk, accessed from the picnic area, overlooks the river walks in places. There is a short liking path to Spike Bridge, which allows for crossing to the Coillte wood on the north side of the River. The Top walk is particularly magnificent in April as Large drifts of bluebell carpet the woodland floor. The relative warm waters of the Celtic and South Irish Seas sustain a rich and varied fish population in both inshore and offshore waters, providing good sport for both the shore, small boats and deep-sea angling. During July and August Sea-Trout arrive in reasonable numbers to many of the smaller rivers in the area, the best being the river Bride, Cooligan, Corock, Bridgetown, Boro, Urrin and our own Owenavorragh River in Courtown. Our Guest House is situated in the the heart of Courtown Harbour, a small fishing village just off the main Rosslare/Dublin N11 Route and 4 miles from Gorey.
