Bermuda's general hospital, King Edward Memorial VII, is very well equipped for all emergencies and can confer with major worldwide specialist hospitals when required. ELECTRICITY The current in Bermuda is the same as the USA and Canada - 60 cycles, 110 volts. EMERGENCY In case any assistance is needed during the night, our Front Desk Clerk will assist you or immediately connect you to a member of Management. FRONT DESK Our staff is there to help with any reservations, sightseeing information, transportation or anything else to make your stay more enjoyable. We have security on property. GOLF Golf Clubs can be hired through the Front Desk to play our challenging Mashie course. There is a $20.00 charge for green fees or a weekly rate can be organized. Arrangements to play on all the private courses on the island are available and the front desk will help reserve tee off times for you. GOVERNMENT OCCUPANCY TAX A 7.25 % Tax on Room and Board only, is added to your account. GRATUITIES To assist you with gratuities, a service charge of 10% is added to the room rate. INTERNET ACCESS There is wireless internet access in our Library and a PC which is available on a complimentary basis 24 hours a day. SAFE DEPOSIT BOXES Please do not leave valuables unattended in your room. There is only one key (yours) so please guard it carefully (drilling charges may apply for lost key). The rooms are equipped with room safes. The Hotel cannot be responsible for unattended valuables left in your room or cottage. TELEPHONE Local calls are free from the rooms. You will require a phone card for overseas calls. TENNIS There are three all weather hard courts at Horizons. These may be booked through the Front Desk on an hourly basis of $5.00 per hour.

LEISURE SPORTS / FITNESS / ACTIVITIES. A vacation in the sun is meant to be complete leisure. Our famous fresh water pool is a great gathering place for all the guests. Relax in a comfy chaise, read your favorite book and enjoy the spectacular view which gives us our name Horizons. Bermuda is a golfer's paradise. We have reciprocal arrangements with all the Island's fine courses. A challenging 'mashie' course at Horizons Cottages is at your doorstep. ('Mashie' - Scottish for a golf club, about a 7-iron.) A few clubs and extra balls are all you need and these are available for rent at the Front Desk. TENNIS Enjoy three championship courts right beside your cottage at a small fee. CROQUET These lawn games are maintained for your enjoyment. Please ask for equipment from the Front Desk. SNORKELING Many tours of the Bermuda reefs are available, including a weekly visit to Nonsuch Island, a bird sanctuary. Snorkeling and scuba gear are available. Please ask the Front Desk to help arrange this. POOL The crystal fresh water pool and many umbrella tables and chairs add to the relaxation and comfort. The pool is heated in the cooler months. 'Miranda', the statue in the pool is a sculpture by a well known local artist. Miranda has watched over swimmers for many years. Our housekeeping staff is always ready to help you in any way they can. COT AND HIDE-A-BEDS Extra persons can be accommodated on rollaway beds and many suites are equipped with hide-a-bed sofas. DRY CLEANING The Housekeeper can arrange dry cleaning service. An express, 24-hour service is available at a surcharge. HAIR DRYERS All of our rooms are equipped with hair dryers. The Housekeeper can provide you with one if you do not find one. INSECTS There are no poisonous insects, snakes or spiders in Bermuda, however, in our warm climate, other harmless insects do proliferate. Your maid can provide insecticide to eliminate the occasional nuisance. TOILETRIES Baudelaire de Provence provides toiletries and shampoos for our properties exclusively in Bermuda. Their products are available for purchase from the Front Desk or the Housekeeper should you wish to take some home. WHIRLPOOL BATHS Make sure the bath water covers the whirlpool jets. Failure to do so will seriously damage the pump mechanism. Please do not use bubble bath in the whirlpool baths.

The Spa features several climate-controlled treatment suites all fitted with the highest quality face and body equipment and each offering adjustable sound and light to create the perfect ambiance for a wide range of treatments. Helpful Hints Please note that 12 hours notice is required for cancellation if appointment charges are to be waived, 48 hours for group bookings, half day and full day bookings.
