Leisure Sports / Fitness / Activities. BEACH SWIMMING Our beach attendants are available to make you comfortable in a chaise or chair with umbrella when needed. Our lifeguards are trained in lifesaving and CPR, however please be careful. BOATING AND WATER SPORTS Boating activities and water sports may be booked by our helpful receptionist. GOLFING Reciprocal rights on the island's best golf courses may be arranged. THE FITNESS STUDIO The Fitness Room on the Coral Beach property is directly across from the Beach Terrace restaurant. It is for the use of guests and members of Coral Beach Club. The cardiovascular room houses three treadmills, one Stairmaster, a Cybex bike, a Precor Elliptical trainer, two Concept 2 rowing machines, Reebok Slides and Steps with videos. There is a television and VCR if you would like to bring your own tapes or watch direct satellite television. The weight room has a weight system, single use machines, free weights and several benches.The gym is open 24 hrs for member use, while daily visitors can obtain the key between the hours of 8a.m. and 9p.m. If you require any more information, our Fitness Director would be happy to assist you, please contact her through the Coral Beach Front Desk. SQUASH Our two international courts are ready for your playing pleasure. Derek Singleton and his assistants can arrange games, racquets, etc. for you upon request. Guests must be accompanied by a member. CROQUET, LAWN BOWLS, PUTTING These lawn games are maintained for your enjoyment without charge. Our putting green is groomed for you to sharpen your game. Equipment is available at the Front Desk. SNORKELING The reefs in front of The Coral Beach Club offer a fascinating array of fish and underwater life. There is no charge for snorkeling 'gear' available at the Beach Office or at the Beach Hut. GAMES ROOM The Games Room has a number of different diversions, including backgammon, chess and skittles and direct satellite TV with DVD and VHS players. Movies are also available at the front desk. SHOPPING At the Beach Office we have a full range of sun products, underwater cameras, snorkeling gear and a selection of CBC logo items for sale. Mens and Ladies Polo Shirts. Calypso Hamilton's colorful store has a boutique at the Watchtower above the beach, specializing in tropical colors, summer and beach clothing and exotic resort wear. Little Shop Upstairs in the Watchtower, you will find one of Bermuda's most elegant shopping experiences. The Little Shop features custom designed jewelry and curios which are happy, fun, bright, colorful and distinctive - like Bermuda. Hamilton Many fine stores are conveniently located on Front Street and nearby side streets. Please ask the Front Desk about getting to Hamilton. St. George's Bermuda's first capital, which has become a World Heritage Site in 2000, offers another experience in shopping and browsing in a setting of quiet intimacy and Old World charm. GARDENS WALKING Our spacious grounds display a variety of native Bermuda plants and trees as well as exotic ones. Enquire at the reception desk for a guided tour of the grounds with our horticulturist. A stroll to the west along the cliff walk reveals one of the last unspoiled Bermuda coastlines.

Custom forms are available at the Desk for your return journey. Bus Service The public transportation system in Bermuda is quite extensive and efficient. Timetables and tokens are available from our Desk. Ferries The ferry to Hamilton and Somerset makes a pleasant journey. Ferry stops are a 15-25 minute walk from the Club and the Front Desk can provide maps to guide you. Cycles Oleander Cycles rents mopeds and scooters on a daily or weekly basis. Please ask the Front Desk for assistance. Maps Useful road maps for your scooter tours are available at the front desk. Box Lunches Picnics may be ordered, on the evening before your outing. Inquire with your waiter or the Front Desk. Church Local churches welcome visitors. Times of service are available from Front Desk. First Aid Simple first aid supplies are available from the Front Desk, the Beach Office and the Tennis Shop. Dentist / Doctors Our doctor will make house calls and we can recommend a gentle and reputable dentist. The local hospital is admirably well equipped for all emergencies. An air ambulance service is available to the U.S. and Canada. Fax Our fax number is 441-236-1876. You may send and receive messages for a nominal charge. Florist We can order flowers for special occasions. Our own flower designer welcomes your interest in the arrangements around the Club. Please check with reservations. Late Check out It is a policy that late checkouts, until 6:00 p.m., will be charged at one half the room rates and at full rate thereafter. La Cave For elegance, the Cave Privee is available for small parties up to 10. Select wines and menu served by a personal waiter and dine surrounded by hundreds of bottles of fine wines, champagnes, cognacs and ports. The Longtail Terrace The Longtail Terrace provides stunning views of South Shore and our private beach. The terrace can accommodate up to 150 guests to combine fine dining with fabulous views. A perfect place for formal or informal parties. The Coral Room Our main dining room provides sophisticated dining in an elegant atmosphere. The Coral Room can accommodate 120 guests and is perfect for formal parties. Our extensive wine list and menu adds the finishing touches. The Ocean Porch This light, airy room can accommodate 10 to 30 guests and is perfect for small groups. Overlooking the Longtail Terrace this is a great location to enjoy wonderful views, fine food and the company of your guests. The Beach Terrace The Beach Terrace's casual decor makes it the perfect place to host parties of up to 40 guests. Like all other locations at Coral Beach Tennis Club, fine wine and food complement any function. The Main Lounge Sophistication, elegance and old world charm all meet in our Main Lounge. Accommodating up to 100 guests you can enjoy cocktails and hors d;oeuvres by an open log fire. Celebrations The Coral Beach Tennis Club offers a full array of on-site catering services for our members. an evening party at the Club accommodating groups from 6 to 150 people availability for different locations is dependent on the season entertain family and friends with hors d;oeuvres. The charge for the Gym is $10 per person per visit or if you are staying for more than a week you may purchase a monthly pass at $50. To obtain the key for guest membership you must visit the Coral Beach Front Desk and fill out a guest form. Please take time to read both the guest form and gym rules. The gym is open 24 hrs for member use. Daily visitors can obtain the key between the hours of 8a.m. and 9p.m. If you wish to use the gym earlier, please make arrangements with the Front Desk the night before. During the week, one of our trainers is in the gym by 6:30a.m. A certified personal trainer is available for a charge of $40 per hour. Our Housekeeper and maids are always ready to help you in any way they can. Baby Needs We have equipment for babies, including cribs, blankets, high chairs. Please consult the Housekeeper in advance to arrange for a babysitter. Bathroom Amenities Baudelaire de Provence provides toiletries and shampoos for only a few places in the world, Coral Beach is one. These fine products are available for purchase from the Beach Office or the Housekeeper, should you wish to take some home. Whirlpool Baths Make sure the bathwater covers the whirlpool jets. Failure to do so will damage the pump mechanism. Please do not use bubble bath in whirlpool tubs. Hair Dryers All bathrooms are equipped with hair dryers for your convenience. Dry Cleaning The Housekeeper can arrange dry cleaning service. An express, 24-hour service is available at a surcharge. Fabrics Our designer will be most pleased to discuss the fabrics and furnishings in your room. Please do not put wet bathing suits, clothes or towels on furnishings. Mattresses All rooms are equipped with Posturepaedic mattresses; bed boards are also available. Night Maid Service Please ask your night maid to return when you expect to be out to dinner if she arrives at an inconvenient time. Water Tap water is completely safe to drink. Insects There are no poisonous insects or snakes or spiders in Bermuda but, in our warm climate, other harmless insects do proliferate. Your maid can provide insecticide to eliminate the occasional nuisance.
