The hotel Col di Lana has comfortable rooms at the disposal of our guests, including a TV and reading room, a play-room for children, a heated ski-room, a pub, a party-room, and a terrace.

Pordoi Pass is world-famous. It's past is reminiscent of events and famous people who shaped in a significant way the life and traditions of these valleys. During the First World War, it was a theatre of violence, where the Italian and the Austrian armies clashed in cruel battles. To commemorate these historical events, a memorial was built on the pass itself and opened to visitors in 1959. Tita Piaz (the devil of Dolomites) can be considered (beside a writer and a politician) as the promoter of the acrobatic alpinism and a pioneer of the history of alpinism. There are a lot of mountain ways due to him, as well as the hotel Col di Lana, which was built at the beginning of the past century. The Giro d’Italia (italian byke tour) is indelebly connected to these places and to the bends of the Dolomiti road (SS 48). A monument of the ladin sculptor Lorenz is there to celebrate the famous byker Fausto Coppi. To visit Pordoi Pass today it is still like having a full immersion in history and landscape beauty.

There are local and national dishes a la carte for guests to taste, as well as hors-d'oeuvres, and a vegetable and cheese buffet. Sitting in the spacious restaurant, you can enjoy a pleasant view of the Dolomites, with the Sassolungo and the Sass Pordoi peaks standing out in the fairy-like scenery.

The Hotel Col di Lana is on the Pordoi Pass in the vicinity of Canazei. From the north, drive down the Brenner highway (A22) and exit at Chiusa. Cross Val Gardena to reach the Sella Pass, and it is but a few minutes to reach Canazei. From the south, the recommended exit is the one to Egna-Ora; follow the signs to Cavalese in the Fiemme Valley and then go through Moena up to Canazei in the Fassa Valley. The Pordoi Pass is only a few minutes from Canazei. You can also choose, coming from either of the two directions, to exit at Bolzano North. Drive through Val d'Ega and Costalunga Pass, then continue through Vigo, Pozza and finally reach Canazei.
